no offense because i'm sure you guys didn't mean too. So don't tkae this the wrong way but, you ruined this post. I stoped reading near the top of this page. I really just wish people would state like one point not every point in the game, i fi iwatned to see that i'd sign up at socom blog and read every god damn posts they made. Please don't take this personaly i just don't like how you guys did that. If you disagree with me or agree with me thats fine. Opnions are opnions. If we all agreed we wouldn't have forums....

I am tired of people calling the m14 unrealistic, like commander said, they were meant to be powerful and inaccurate in full auto, LIKE ANY OTHER REAL GUN. All the other guns in socom take like 6-7 hits to drop a person, but the m14 take 2-3. Although that is still a bit unrealistic, since in real life people usually drop in 1 shot to the chest, but it still only takes 2-3 shots. The M14 is the MOST REALISTIC gun in the game.

Thats a great point. It's also on both sides. Thats why they made it so strong they figured youd learn that if you think it's so unfair and so easy to kill youd use it...

What this game needs is more strategy and thats where Socom3 will hopefully end up. Where there is lots of communication and teamwork if you want to win.

OK my input is this:

The game is called US Navy SEALs.

The Navy SEALs usaually don't go in guns blaring running at full tilt mowing down enemies while they have RPG's launched at them.

In fact in most real world instances an enemy target doesn't even know they've been hit by a SEALs team until a SEALs team has already been extracted and on their way home.

The fact that the maps ARE bigger and ensuring that teamwork and strategy are utilized to accomplish the mission set forth by each team Zipper is bringing forward full circle what they set out to do. To create a SEAL sandbox simulator, not a run and gun on-line dime a dozen shooter that SOCOM has become.

Even those that preach about how they feel that is what they enjoy about SOCOM they know that works in rooms of non-teamwork oriented opponents but when playing against eight people working together that run n gun **** will get you absolutely no where.

Of course the main reason the reason those that are complaining about not being able to go Rambo anymore is the fact that they are not a team player or can't "strategize" so instead of being one of the socom elite they are soon going to be part of the socom fodder.

im just glad that im not going to get killed by some one throwing 9 m67s across the map at random( people throw grandes cuz they cant get kills with out hitting some one across the map with a m67)

Yea thats tons of fun but-If S3 looses it's FUN FACTOR there won't be time to meet blood brothers.Bottom line-If the game sucs noboy meets anyone because no1 will play!How many great friends do you have from playing Champions, any Ghost Recon,SWBF?? If the fun Factor is GONE from S3 then the game is DONE!!!

i like your sig secialist, i thought halo 2 was kinda lame personally, and alot of the people on that game know nothing about FPS, they just bought cuz it was so hyped up and their buddy down the street said it owned. but yea socom 3 is gonna be the real deal.

that being said, i personally like the more strategic, slow games that involve patience and hiding, it makes each kill alot more gratifying. Sometimes in socom 2 it seems like gettin in a firefight with someone is just like tossing a coin to see whos gonna kill who. the new ghost recon owns (on xbox), i wouldnt care if socom 3 was a clone of it. also im glad to hear the hit detection is excellent. im sure you can all relate to me on how frustrating it is when you have your crosshair lined up exactly on homeboys head, pull the trigger, and miss, and he turns around and shoots you like 3 times and you die. i mean sometimes i just stop shooting because i unload like 7-8 bullets on someones cranium, and im just assuming theres a little delay (usually is), but nope, he just turns around and shoots me and keeps on running.

Yeah, totally man That is exactly how i feel when i get into a firefight with someone. And when i have an m14 and shoot at ppl assuming that they are gona die in a second because of the delay, They live and kill me. Sometimes i say to myself that ill never stop shooting till i see him motionless on the ground. lol

I would guess there is still running and gunning based on what c0m said. Its just it is not affective as it used to be. If you expect to rush with an automatic in this game and take out 3 guys, you are just lieing to yourself. I'm happy socom took a step in this direction, to the way it was supposed to be played.
