They have this feature in BF2. It shows where the snti-vehicular mines are, but noone pays attention to it anyways. People still run over them. Seems like a good idea, but doesn't really work.

Honestly, I do not think that it would help that much.

i dont know about haveing a blip on the radar for a mine but maybe a mine detector and a seperate set of equipment, that would be cool, a little anoying pulling it out and stuff but still. maybe the mines will still stand out like they do in socom 2. it would be cool if you could hide the mines like under ground or put a trip wire or something.

I don't like this idea at all. It seems to be the worst i've heard. No mine radar! Use your mic, call it out and open your ears, it's not rocket science!!!

Calling out mines is very inefficient since most peeps are worried about getting shot. Yea it helps a lil but a radar would help to show where your teamates have placed there mines without having to communicate back to your team.

Hmmm...this discussion has been going on for awhile now so I will relay my new thoughts and points of conversation.

No offense, but I completely disagree with this idea. There shouldn't be a mine radar. All you have to do is use your mic to call out your mines. If everyone was smart about mine placement and calling out the mines then there wouldn't be any problems. When someone dies on the mine there are two theoretical situations that occured. One would be that the mine placer did not call it out/placed in a bad position. The second would be that the person who got killed was not paying attention and didn't care to listen. This as you can see for yourself is a result of poor teamwork. This game requires teamwork to win! Mine radar would further eliminate the teamwork of your squad, thus taking away the need to work together. Think about it for awhile - Socom is meant to have teamwork skills to win.
