socom is supposed to be as realistic as possile, while being kept as a game. a mine radar would kinda destroy the point of mines. mines are supposed to be hidden, or highly camoflauged, u wouldnt carry a metal detector into a gunfight now would you?

ill have to disagree with this idea.

P.S. Props to commander for the translation!

Realistically they shouldn't put that "mine radar" in, You have to admit sometimes it can be hard to see mines especially if they are hidden by objects or foliage. That said plenty of people blow themselves up, why shoulsn't terrorists on socom?

I think he was suggesting teammates having radar, not enemies.

Thank you.

MINE RADAR FOR YOUR TEAM ONLY!

Having a mine radar for the enemy is kinda of stupid, isnt it?

Please use your logic.

I think mines placed by your team should show as a red dot on that useless little radar map thingy. I mean come on, in real life, I'm sure that terros would give eacthother maps or SOMETHING with the locations, otherwise it would be too unsafe. ....well these are terrorists but still....

BTW, nice sig $ilent! :D :D

We have less mines here remember. You dont really need a mine detector. O well i dont worry about mines. I hardly ever plant them. If i do i dont bother to call them out, just watch were ur steppin.

It is the fault of the person planting the mine if you die (50% of the time) seeing as how it was in a spot where you had to travel over. If you hit a mine going up steps or into a doorway I feel sorry for you. Look around the door panels and watch where you step. This is a teamwork game, so listen to your teammates.
Same goes for vehicles, but you can see them on your radar

mines a problem again?

I like the idea of the rader showing you were you placed your own mines thats fine but, i highly dissagree with the rader showing you where your enemys mines are. its spposed to be used as a trap and if you canot see them get some glasses they may be hard to see if your in a firefight but thats the point of laying mines
