To basically sum this topic up half hate Green Day/MTV other half loves Green Day/MTV. Some people say punk is dead blah blah but punk is NOT dead its just on life support and thats all I have to say about that.

I don't like the fact that MTV choses what is punk. They don't even know good music. How do you expect them to know punk? Modern Day Punk= The Casualties, The Exploited, The Adicts, G.B.H, GutterMouth and a lot more.. Not Punk= Green day, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and all other emo bands.

OMG...I know. My chemical romance really sucks. the music on MTV SUCKS.

Perhaps GD, MCR, and FB would be better suited in an Emo category. New Punk is Emo (at least I consider it to be).

I'm not saying Old School Punk and Emo Punk is the same, because it isn't. Would you agree if I said the three bands listed above were Emo? If so, I consider Emo the same as Modern or New Punk. That's just my opinion on it.

Well...about 3 years ago....a friend of mine introduced me to Green Day. He listened to their music and had every cd of them. I then listened to them and loved them...and now...it is on EVERY damn crap/****-hop station out there....God I hate Green Day now....

First of all, i think your a complete moron for calling all "new" punk emo. Have you not listened to The Casualties? The Unseen? The Adicts? T.S.O.L? Guttermouth? Please don't call anything punk if you don't even know what punk is, Or listened to any decent punk to know what punk even sounds like. Try my 2 posts before this one. I posted some real punk.
