On the beta, people have no problem anymore with the use of RPGs, 203s, etc, seeing as how you almost need them to win in some game modes...
I can't wait, it will be more realistic now, you can watch a war movie and actually relate it to an average socom game.

My friend who has been playing the beta nonstop tells me that 203's are a big part of it, and it is nearly impossible to find faults with them because of the number of players and the size of the maps.
There shouldn't be any problem with them in socom 2 but over fifty percent of the players are whiney little bitches. so they get upset when they die to a grenade. 203's are totally fair everyplace that zipper decided to put them in.

If they are totally fair, then people would complain about lag and sponging beforwe the weapon... I hate the M203 in S2... it is just about the only gun worth banning...

ive been wantin to use 203s n rpgs for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME, cant wait for october 11, 2 days after my bday, i hope pple wont be idiots when they get fragged by an rpg

Yeah I have no problems with RPGs. But I do have a problem with M203s in S2 but from what I have seen above I can't wait for S3 so I can use a M203. I can't wait it will make the game alot more realistic!

 If you pay $50 for anything... then you should be able to use it no matter what!! What gets me is the fact places like gamebattles ban them also.

Well the IW is the only gun in S2 that I understand should be banned. Its so unrealistic. I had no problems with the M14 and I don't understand why other people do.

I have no problem with the IW in SOCOM II what-so-ever...
if you can't kill an "IW noob" it is you that is the noob...
the M203 is THE ONLY gun that should be banned... I was playing on crossroads, and some dipshit lost the first round, so he decides to use an M203 frag launcher for the rest of the game... he still got a worse score than me (I was using a 552sd) cus he was such an idiot...

The M203 should be banned on Xroads its seems that people will always use it and it just turns the game into a M203 and glitch fest b/c once someone gets killed by a M203 they always seem to glitch the next round.

This is a great thread! I agree that in S2 m203's were just not needed. Rpgs were a nice touch but in things like respawns especially, poeple would seem to overuse them because you keep getting more of them. They really aren't that useful unless you are well positioned. Now 203's were abit silly when only seals have them...I have a story as an example.
I was going I think 5 and 2 on blizzard one time. The other team was being stupid so we say lets get m203s lol! Well I say to myself, I'll give it up when I die just to be fair. Well I never died because I killed people so easily with it because I often had the high ground. I even lived after crippling myself with a fall and getting hit with an rgp and being knocked down (shooting him with the 203 in midair I think, not sure, he was on the roof of the terrorist building). The fact is that people with 203's can kill very fast! I went 18 and 2 not because I had infinite life, I could have been shot like any other man, I just had extremely powerful weaponry and knew how to use it, since it was easily adaptable.
I haven't heard that both teams will have 203's but it would make sense to me. Also I am sure that if a regular player gets hit with one of these weapons, it is because they are in a cluster or near a vehicle or the person is just being a pain in the backside. Heck the maps are so big now that I'm going to save them. I think a common trend we will see is that if you can turn rpgs/m203's off, they will be off in non-vehicle games because of overuse on players.
