Clan Rankings

Ok, I searched and found no similar topics, so to mods, sorry if this is the same as another. . .


Ok, I have (and I am sure I am not the only one) that there is a possibility that the clan leader will be able to give personal ranks within the clan. Like maybe the lowest rank inside the clan would be ensign. The highest within the clan would be Co-Leader. Now I have not been able to find proof that this will be in the game but I am a person that deffinately hopes that it will.

I love the idea. This would give a chance for certain people that have been in the clan longer than others but don't have better rank a chance to move up in the eyes of newer players. I used to have a clan where one of the guys wasn't all that great, but we all liked him. He was a friend of the leaders and was a guy that was funny and all that good stuff. He wasn't ranked high, so when we got new players that were Captains and he was an LT or Ensign, they wouldn't think of him to greatly. They would badmouth him in clanwars. Individual clan ranks would give certain players respect that they diserve when newer, more serious players join clans.

It is also very good because (especially with bigger clan rosters) some leaders don't have time to be on constantly. A co-leader, or even possible co-leaders would have the ability to set up tryout rooms and send out invite to people that they think or worthy for their clan. Now certain things co-leaders couldn't do would deffinatley include disbanding the clan. Maybe even clan tag changes. They couldn't boot people from the clan either.

Maybe even invites would only give the player they invited a short term spot on the roster, and when the real leader got back, that person could decide whether or not the new guy could stay for good.

SO, what do you guys think, is this a good idea for Zipper to consider (if they haven't already done so) or is it just another thing that sounds good but really has no appeal?

It hasn't been previously posted, but if I remember correctly in an interview with lead Zipper designers this will not be in the game. It was a direct question asked to the lead multiplayer designer who answered along the lines that they are looking into it but most likely no. I wouldn't personally like this within the clan, but if the co-leader option is available I would be for that.

Yeah, I really don't care all that much for the other inside ranks except co-leader. I think that would be VERY useful.

I wouldnt care as much for a rank more than just a feature specified to anyone that the leader wants who can also make wars and recruit people

I'd love it if this feature was in SOCOM III. I doubt it will be though...

It isn't really something that can't be added later on though, I mean, I would think that it would be kinda easy to enter it in with a patch later on in the game. What do smarter people think of that? Is it even possible?

i don't really care for this. to me the people in the clan will know whos the best after playing with them
