i was wondering wut u guys think about maps like blood lake and foxhunt maps that are all outdoor maps with foliage and no buildings. in socom 3 all the maps are going to be like this.theyre taking a more suburban approach.i dont kno about you guys but im really suck at bloodlake and maps with alll the foliage cuz i cant fucking see a damn thing .im gunna miss all the buildings andstuff like xraods and fishook, being able to use buildings, balconys for camping or cover..
Well, if this is true. . . and I doubt it is, then I really would miss certain maps like Crossroads. I know for a fact that many will, it, by far, is the most popular map in Socom 2. At the same time though I wouldn't really care. I love maps like Foxhunt and Blood lake. I guess it will be up to the us all to decide once the game comes out, or for all you lucky testers, you'll decide sooner
I hope the 12 maps will have diffent things like maybe... 2 to 3 desserts maps some maps like bloodlake a city map with buildings and streets maybe and a water map a island map you know diffent things for everyones taste!
Zipper developers have stated that they are going back to the SOCOM one approach by opening up the levels, and getting back to their roots. Maybe the maps will be open like Foxhunt. We have all seen Harvester, and that map is like a gigantic Foxhunt, so maybe we'll just have to get used to it.

I think there going to be alot better .No more rushing right when the map starts and having people die within 10 seconds of the map starting.People wont be able to throw grenades at the start of the game and kill people. You wont have as many people camping In one spot the whole game like the desert glory hostage room .Snipers can have there space and dont have to worry as much about being seen.
Yeah, definitly better. I'm sure there will be certain hot spots in certain maps that will be perfect for CQC. I know in Harvester there is some houses that you can go into, that could make for some cool CQC fire fights and such. Every time I talk about SOCOM III, I get giddy and all excited like a little school girl. It's sick, but I'm so freaking excited! Good bye social life, hello SOCOM III!!

I love games that are that fast paced. I love playing both sides on Frostfire, if I'm rushing as a SEAL, or defending as a terrorist.

I like this aspect, too.
I would like to see a map (using a Control game play, for example)where the intense control areas are close quarters, intense, fast paced fighting, but is inside a large perimeter, where snipers can pick off a few people.
I sure hope they have city style maps.

trust me there all not gonna be one type of maps. theres gonna have urban, jungle, desert and all that good shit. *cringe* i am gonna miss Ruins, Night Stalker, Desert Glory, Fish Hook, and Mixer
If htis is true this would just make me love the game even more. No map beats shadow falls. It is the best map in the game because it is all about stealth and in a urban map it's more about who has the best gun. This would be a good way to go because it would show what the navy seals are best at, stealth.
well considering that the maps are in poland, south asia (darn you bangladesh), and morocco. These maps will probably each have a suburban and urban map type for the different climates.
-Poland: the snowy levels will likely be here since it is the coldest place mentioned. I would imagine harvester's map would be located here even though there is no snow, the climate looks right.
-South Asia: The maps here will likely be the jungle types of maps like abandoned, etc. Maybe a less urban feeling here than anywhere.
-Morocco: This northern country of africa will obviously have the desert maps and possibly a jungle, but don't get your hopes up. I am personally hoping for a very cairo looking city here for some great lower alley CQC action and some high roof sniping. Something like black hawk down may be nice as well.
I hope they keep up a variety like Socom 2 and they keep a map/ and or map type for everyone. Example: I love Crossroads, but sometimes i get in the mood for Foxhunt.
I just wanna see maps that the SEALs can actually blend in too and or (stealth realted tactics) i just wanna pop some silent caps in some of those terrorists
