I'm familiar with what your calling the thumb guard that the P90 uses and the L96. But for an AUG? Can you post any pics or is this like a mod that you have to request like the sop mods for our M4's and M16's. Man you british have got some wierd weapons.
No can do with the pic, the gun was heavily modded as he was part of the pathfinder unit, they drop in first and mark out and secure the DZ before the rest of the lads drop in... so he got the cooler gun...
One of the funniest things about SOCOm is that the IW is included as the SAS men in single player have it... but the SAS only use an SA when posing as regular brit infantry, they use the M16 or M4 instead...
It boggles my brain how you all can get worked up so much about 1 gun that will have 1% of relevance in Socom 3. Oh well to each their own, thats just my opinion on the matter.
Thank you for all your posts, and to answer your question Pretentious no i havent shot at infidels bUt i have been lucky enough to haVe a father that knows some connections to the local military base and we got to play lazer tag with the real guns shooting blanks. And i chose the AUG for its bullpup desighn for CQC, and worked without a flaw, yeah the couple jams here and there but what gun doesnt jam? And my dad also is issued one for his job and i got to shoot a broken in one with real rounds. Name any gun and i probably shot it. He had to turn in is AUG and is now issued an M4A1 Carbine and i shot that to. Not braggin' just stating the facts. O and thanks Boba.

Pretentious is a bit of an eejit... he calls someone a dirtbag when the poor guy did nothing to pffend anyone, then tells the guy to relax... did I miss something???
My dad just recently sold his AUG, and while i never got to shoot it, he said it was the best gun he ever owned, and hes had some ridiculous assault riffles. I havent really gotten into it with him because he said im not supposed to know about it but i guess ill ask him tonite
