Ya maybe take the VIPS and put em in a humvee and maybe 1 person drives and ones mans a machine gun and go down a short trail to like a camp or a helli?

Or like foxhunt like maybe 1 RPG and a few good shot to take the helli down?

OR! When the bars fills up the heli waits for you to signal like smoke or radio??? To like make sure its safe...

I think this will force people to make plans to win on both sides.

You can't pilot a helicopter in SOCOM III online. Only water crafts and vehicles. You can call airstrikes again though.

I doubt you'll be able to shoot the helicopters down in Escort missions. In SOCOM II, the SEALs win when the helicopter reaches the VIPs. This would change the entire mission of Escort to have this feature built into this game mode. Terrorists wouldn't even have to go look for the VIPs. They could just sit near the extraction points and shoot the helicopter with an RPG when it gets near the extraction zone.

ya, it would just make the map horrible and unwanted to play by the seals, what would be cool is if there was more things to blow up, like the c4 wall on desert glory, stuff like that

Definitely a no-no. Escort maps are unfairly balanced in the favor of terrorists enough as it is. All it would take would be a few snipers with m82's or one guy w/ an rpg from halfway across the map to win the game. Remember, the helo is hovering a few meters above the ground...a much easier target to take down.

Great point Red. The only thing they are changing about the Escort missions anyway is that the SEALs have to extract the VIPs this time, otherwise they lose. If you don't believe me, then watch the E3 Interview at gamespot.com, or listen to the old E3 audio interviews from blymik.
