Theres still a chance for people who signed up wit socomeseals.com i just got a email today heres what it said:
PUBLIC BETA UPDATE
We received an update from SCEA regarding the status of the SOCOM 3 Public Beta test and I wanted to pass that information along to the eSEALs community since I know you are all very excited for your chance in the lottery drawing. We have been informed that the beta disks have been completed and SCEA began blasting out the invites to all prospective testers Friday July 15 so make sure to keep an eye on your emails and respond quickly to ensure your slot!
Just so everyone is clear, I wanted to list the qualifications necessary to be invited to the SOCOM 3 Public Beta. These qualifications apply to ALL members that will be beta testing the game and not just for eSEALs members:
* You must be an active PS2 Online gamer (having registered your Network Adaptor using the start up disk given to you for installation)
* Member of the PlayStation Underground/PlayStation.com (meaning that you have a registered email address with PlayStation through their website and are able to log in to your account at PlayStation.com without issue)
* 18 years of age or older
* Resident of the United States or Canada (with valid mailing address within either of these countries)
Our contacts at SCEA have informed us that GAP (Gaming Advisory Panel) and eSEALs members that meet the above criteria have been given priority in the invitation selection process. Please understand that eSEALs Command has absolutely no control or say in the selection process whatsoever. SCEA has only given us the opportunity to participate and extend this offer to our members as a courtesy. The amount of eSEALs spaces reserved for this beta is only a fraction of the total amount of testers that will be participating. You do not need to be an eSEALs member in order to qualify to receive the beta invite. However, eSEALs members do have a statistical advantage to being selected based on overall membership and the amount of beta slots reserved for our members.
So with all that said keep your fingers crossed and check that email...you never know what might come through!

Thank you for the information. Did any other e-mails come your way about the eSEALs being a part of the Beta testing before this? I am just wondering where eSEALs stands as of now. I thought they were already handing out invitations to everyone including eSEALs. I mean, the Beta program as been activated as of yesterday morning. Kind of hard to think some Official Beta Testers are still unaware that they are. Thank you, though.

I recieved mine the day it was sent, I just never checked my email. But unfortunetly I'm not 18 so I can't compete in the Physical Challenge, and I don't live in California so I can't compete for the Spike TV contest either. Now that sucks.
i think i have the whole eseals thing figured out. i think that instead of sony sending 5000 invites or whatever to the people in charge of eseals to pass out to its members, they probably just designated an allotment of 5k that would be sent to members of eseals by sony themselves. i don't think any of the eseals guys got an invitational email from eseals, just the email saying that eseals were getting a special consideration during the selection process. that's just my theory though.

Actually it was more like people who helped ESEALs (such as forum mods, mods for the tournaments, tournament winners... yadda, yadda) not just regular ESEALs like myself who didn't help the site in any way, shape or form. So unless you were an actual part of ESEALs, then you shouldn't have expected to get a beta from them.

You register your hardware at www.us.playstation.com. Login to your account and go to profile. There should be an option to register hardware. I didn't have my network adaptor or playstation registered. However, since both were sent in for service perhaps I was put on file? Anyway, yea, you can find it at www.us.playstation.com.

i was under the impression that eseals weren't sending any beta invites out. it was just part of the criteria that you were a part of playstation underground, and eseals. if you were just one or the other, you were beat. then i guess once sony figured out who was registered with both, they started blasting out invites. i'm just glad i check my email a few times a day.
