Topic: Mics
Information: Well, it is a slight problem. I don't see a problem as of now because the mics are a little faulty on the beta as of late. It isn't hard to communicate because of that. In the final release, I expect to see a lot more coordination and teamwork between players. Like socom2, there is the all chat channel and two other channels. Anyway, going through public games it probably won't be that much different.

I've been a member here for a while, I just don't post that much. I must say one thing though that the mods on this site handle everything with such class and tact. Just wanted to say THX for everything its so easy to read with the way you are doing things keep the damn good work guys.

I agree with this guy nice work! anyways...

Question

Have you notice that with more people and bigger maps that the games go a lot longer, and is there a longer time limit for the games or can the host choose the length of the game? thanks and sorry if this is like beta sensitive info or something.

I agree thanks alot c0mm!

Question

I was wondering about the map sizes, are they chosen in creation or are they dependent on the amount of people?

I appreciate that comment, as I know the rest of the mods around here do as well. It is nice to see our work is taken into consideration by people. A lot of guys just complain and bicker about moderations. Anyway, I thank you.

Topic: Game/Round Time
Information: There is a time limit that the creator of the room can set just like in socom and socom2. The times are roughly the same and zipper did a lot to make sure it is more fast pace this time around. I cannot go into much detail with this, but I can assure you every round won't be a 6 minute wait ending a draw like in Socom2.

Topic: Map Sizes
Information: Well, the option to decrease or increase map sizes according to players and the host's request is not in the Beta. This will be in the final version of the game, and that has already been confirmed. Since I don't know about it, I will simply restate what Zipper has said. The map will be sectioned off and blocked off to make it smaller. This way the players will not have to travel over a 32 player map with 4 people in the room.

Question

Can you be too sexy, c0mm? Also, is the default round time still 5 minutes then?

Topic: Sexiness and Time
Information: I am happy to report that my sexiness knows no bounds, Bob. Also, there is a lot waiting for you! Heh! Anyway, the default round time was never 5 minutes. Six minutes is and will always be the limit.

Question

Are there any advantages of being a seal over terrorist, or are the sides well balanced?

Topic: Team Balance
Information: Well, as I stated a few pages back, the weapons are very balanced this time around. I would have to say that the same advantages with certain gametypes apply, but a good team will overcome them fairly easily. The balance is much better for socom3. I wouldn't think there will be any Frost Fire similar advantages and such on the rest of the maps either. They really listened to the players from 2 to 3.

I recently needed to clear this topic out. Remember the rules, guys. There is no passing of direct information from the beta. All my responces have been short and sweet as well as mostly opinionated. I can share information with you guys, but within reason.

Another issue is that everyone is typing claiming they don't know what can be disclosed or not. Responces as well as Questions are talked about in detail in the initial post. You can ask indirect or opinionated questions. Questions such as movement or weapon/vehicle balance. I can also answer questions if that information has already been release by Zipper or Sony. There is a limit guys. Examples of questions not to ask would be direct weapon, map, character, or other information. You cannot ask me about the map layout. You cannot ask me how many attachments. You cannot ask me about a certain gun. They will all end up in your post getting erased from our system and a warning PM that some of you have already had the priviledge of meeting. Keep this thread clear.

As for the bombardment of questions, other Beta testers can answer as well. If you see a question you know you can answer without breaking the agreement with SCEA, then by all means do so. Do not answer direct questions. Truth of the matter is they will be taken cared of but a moderator hasn't had the time to do it yet. Don't give out any direct information but know you have the ability to answer questions just as well as I do.

Thank you.
