question

Question

Do u think there would be a difference from a skilled or unskilled player, wat i mean is do u think a unskilled player from socom 2 would be getting better and also do u think more skilled players like me are gonna have a hard time to reach just how good they were on socom 2?

Topic: Skills, Adjustment
Information: It will take a little while for you to get adjusted to the changes, as with any new game. I found that the basic socom2 player will be able to use what he knows from socom2 and be quite skillfull in socom2. There are problems with adjustments, however. Socom2 players may sometimes play as if they are still in Socom2. A person with no socom backround might be easier to mold into a socom3 player before a socom2 player can be. I have no doubt that eventually all players will be adjusted within the first month of gameplay.

Question

I have a question about the weapon accuracy. I keep hearing people comparing this to ghost recon 2. Do have to stop and shoot to get better accuracy or do you still see people playing like S2 and doing the spray and pray tactics.

Topic: Accuracy, Shooting
Information: Well, not all seals stop and crouch before shooting every single bullet. It is a good way to be stealthy, so ofcourse people did that in S2 and still do in S3. "Spray and pray" is not the right terminology for what you are getting at. "Spray and pray" is when you hold down the trigger full blast a distance away from someone hoping to get a hit on them by not trying. People who don't know how to aim or are new use that tactic. The tactic you are refering to is "run and gun" which is not unheard of in real life. Yes, ofcourse people still shoot while they are running. Why wouldn't they?

Question

How does the frame rate hold up ? In S2 it would sometimes be utterly unplayable (8v8 fish hook, eurgh). Have they kicked a$$ on it this time round ?

Topic: Frame rate
Information: Yea, I know what you mean exactly. The frame rate on S3 has kicked it up a notch. We already knew it would be because of the streaming technology and brand new servers. I have been in battles in a small area of open ground with around 12 v 12. No problems at all. I think they will only improve from the beta to the final version.

Question:

Have YOU heard anyone say, "That is a n00b weapon" yet? I'd just like to know if you've heard ANYONE feel that way.

And OMG, this game sounds SO FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

Topic: n00b! h4x!
Information: Like I said earlier, it is my opinion that all the weapons have an equal balance. Every setup has a disadvantage and an advantage. Not a single person on the game has claimed a gun to be a n00b gun or another player for that matter.

Topic: Attachments
Information: I would say each attachment brings something new to the weapon. They are truly a great idea on Zipper's part. You get full control over your weapon and equipment, and therefor can play to the absolute best of your ability.

Question

With 16 people on a team, are there two different channels? If not, how hard is it to get the mic?
