I bet it has online footage. But i can garauntee it has a level that you can play. Offline of course. If it is just a demo movie, I will be very vert pissed. And will kick some A$$.
My friend at EB and his friend at gamestop told me the following:
Socom 3 will have 2 or the first 2 levels of the single player socom3, and you can save it to your memory card and use the save when s3 comes out. How insane is that.
I'm also 99% sure there is no playable multi-demo.

how sure are you about that, the only way I could believe him is that the demo was out at Ozzfest's and such places so if it was the same then I could believe it, but having 2 levels would kick *** :P
I was talking to a couple people last night on socom who live near Detroit (they didn't know eachother and I can tell they weren't lying because they had proof to back it up) and they said that they had gotten the demo. It only has one level on socom 3 (probably Harvester). I'm going to call my EBgames now to see if they have the demo.
(Edit) My EBGames said we are getting them early next week (yea right)
I'm not sure what eb you are gonna try and get the demo but the eb where my friend works (Jefferson Valley Mall, Yorktown Hts. NY) doesnt have the sony CR that gives the demo's out. You might have better luck at Gamestop.. just a thought.
the only thing that means is it will have it. i asked my gamestop at the mall and he said o.. well we havnt got it we will have it on the 14.15.16.17 something like that if i rember correctly
Its supposed to come out tomorrow, the 15th, so if anyone actually gets it, post about it, pictures, vids, etc, if I do, I will post tons of stuff on my forum
