[S3] Farewell Socom 2! Video.

Basic agreement first off:

By partaking in production of this video you agree that:

• You will not **** around needlessly
• You will do what is asked (i.e. you need to run across somewhere and die in a real game, you will)
• You will respect others ideas (no "THAT'S ****ING STUPID, LISTEN TO MY IDEA!)
• You will not hold the mic in production of this video, we can of course hf and congratulate eachother, laugh here n there, but needless chatter can and will result in a vote
• You will vote anyone out who ****s around, even if they are your best friend.


Right, on to the good stuff. Brainstorming...I guess. Lay your ideas out here.


IMO, the vid should NOT contain:

Claymore stunts (suicides...jumps)
AT-4 stunts
Basically anything you see in every other fun respawn video, it's all old and overused.


It should contain:

Sweet kills
Random actual gameplay
Rigged stuff that looks real (see "GFG" video, good examples)
Our sign-off of S3 at the end, in mines blowing up (again, replica of GFG vid)
"www.Socom3.com" at beginning and end, seeing as how GFG vid got so many downloads, if ours is just as good it's bound to get past this site and perhaps GB, so we want to advertise.
Music music music
NO sound effects, just have music.


Some ideas of mine:

DG, around the middle building. 2 guys vs 1 (or whatever we decide) The teammates of the 2 guys (or the guys outnumbering other team) SHOOT and WEAKEN the 2 guys, so a sliver of health is left. Make sure you don't kill them. You wait on 3rd floor middle building near back balcony. None of this is shown on vid

The camera suddenly comes onto the one guy below, running towards the middle building back balcony. One of the 2 guys from middle building jumps out, and the one guy (let's say it's a SEAL to make life easier) already has his crosshairs up, and shoots the guy in mid air and kills him, try to get the shot around the head area so it looks like you got him in the head, though you really got him due to no health.

Then the SEAL throws a grenade in the balcony area and the second terrorist jumps out and get blown forward by grenade and killed (or falls to death) at same time.

SEALs victorious. It makes it seem like it was real game footage.

That's one idea...we can expand on it, fix it, and have way more ideas aswell.

Me and complicate already talked about this idea: In crossroads, the SEALs run down the right alley in a Canadian Geese "V" shape, and we have that carlf orff - carmina burano - o fortuna song playing, it will be sweet.

Also, put a list of music you think would be good on the video....I think, for something like a 5v1 where the 1 guy wins or takes out a lot of guys within 30 seconds at least, we have the song "Another one bites the dust"


w00t. BTW, filming of this is done mainly by complicate, but I'm sure we can incorporate anyone else who wants to film too.

I know myself, Tek, and Boba all have capture devices and could possibly help out with this. I am having trouble compressing my video to a reasonable size and any help with this would be appreciated (complicate).

I had an idea a while back that we could each have 5 to 10 second introduction of ourselves. The camera would follow you as you kill, plant, extract, etc and then have a freezeframe for 3 seconds with your name and clan tag. Kind of like the credits at the beginning or end of a movie, ya know?

Ooooh I like that, should that be at the beginning, or end? We would have to shorten it too...like...watching somebody plant or kill, with anywhere from 10-16 people could take a while. Maybe just them yeah, a quick short kill, or them running and shooting with their favourite weapon...or something of their choice, but quick.


And another song, I think it's by Run DMC....is it called "BOOM!"? We could have that in a little quick, 20 second part of the vid with bridge explosions...MPBOMB explosion (plants) etc etc. Just to add to .... the effect, it's just little something neat.

Lets make the ending music something sad or insperational or something and we all stand on the beam in chain reaction firing off AT-4's and blasting claymores, firing our weapons and taking the leap of faith into the new game! I like your idea mob I was thinking the same thing too everyone get at4/rpg and then we all line up on a beam or something and on 3 they launch! :D It might lag the room out but it will be worth it The disconnected screen could be the end of the video

What about the disconnected screen for the finally? we could always add some cursing in too during the black disconnected screen I am sure we have plenty from otter in the past :D
