if they were smart they would make like a 50$ mic with a much thicker gauge wire so it doesnt short out after 1 crease and that would take off the mute button so u dont have any wait pulling on the bottom of the headset. and they would make it a lil longer before they made the transformer box for the usb cable so it wasnt pulling on the end that conects to the ps2 that would keep a lot of the mics from breaking and it would only cost them like 5 cents more. and if they were really smart they wouldnt have made em usb the usb part is whats making the mic go into the 30$s they should make a converter usb to the reg mic like a computer would use or the xbox mic.

Two different companies for two different gaming systems make the mics for xbox and ps2. I am not sure about Logitech headsets though. I doubt they would make an adaptor for a mic that hooks up to a controller and one that hooks to the system....but that is a good idea i like the xbox headsets

No it's still $5 a mic.... you're just prepaying for the next one.

Well I had a SOCOM 1 mic for a long time and used it for the beginning of SOCOM II but eventually the wire got a short in it so I had to buy one of the logitech ones( the one with the mute button). The mute button light in that one went out and it stopped working so I bought another one this past January with the warranty. So now I'm on my 4th mic since SOCOM 1...
