Hope that helped. I have never seen that website until I searched google. Usually I use http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm for all my weapon information. I couldn't find the M87 there though. They only listed the M82, M90, M95, and M99 high caliber sniper rifles.

Yeah it is. I use the M40. You acually need a little skill for that gun. With the 50 cal. its a one shot kill if you hit them in the leg. With the M40, you have to take time to aim for the upper region of the body. Also, far away you can barley hear it. I got shot with it in a sniper respawn the other day and I didnt hear it, it was like the SR-25 SD.

the 50. cal was made for killing elaphants and stuff lol if shot from point blank it would blow a huge hole in u, and the military snipers use it to take shots from long ranges... i think seals use the m40a1 or a sniper with a 308. caliber or 223.

MY friend is in the marines at sniper school, and he emailed me saying that right now they are training with the sr-25 and the M87 he said the training with the .50 Cal is for taking out jeeps and other forms of enemy equipment. and the person who is assigned to that gun during a mission possions them self in a different location and is almost liek a spotter. he owuld call out a jeep then take the shot and siable the jeep. he woul dthen call out enemies as they scrambled. i think thats hella cool i dont know what he is doing right now though that email was like 3 weks ago and i havent heard from him since,, must be camo training and stuff like that now.

i dont think they are goin to get rid of the sr-25 its to popular in the game to remove

yeah, i wuz hoping that they would put some new sniper rifles in socom 3, not just keep the old ones. im kinda getting sick of all the old socom 2 guns :( o well, as long as they kill, and are accurate im happy :D

The AI L96 is a sniper rifle and the XM8 can be converted into a sniper rifle. Also i will be surprised if they dont put the Dragunov in the game. Considering they already have like 5 different AKs including a machine gun version they might as well put the Dragunov in which is basically an AK sniper rifle.

commander, you're talking of the m87 but it is talking about the harris m87 sniper rifle has a muzzle brake, there is a mcmillian m87--the problem with that website is no pictures to go along with the descriptions of the weapons

i am an advocate for not having the m82 on the terrorist side, being that there are plenty of large caliber sniper rifles to give to the terrorists that aren't american made

Finally someone agrees with me about the M82 being on the seals. Now if they would just get the M9 as a seal pistol, the 226(which is made by SIG, a Russian gun company also responsible for the 552) to the terrorists and the AK105 terrorist we would be all set.

all i know is that the ak-47 should be the weapon of choice for many terrorists. In real life if fires almost twice as fast as it does in s2, and its basically close to the m16
