I know I'm a "noob" on this message board. I just found out about this site from a friend of mine. I've been reading the latest threads and I have yet to see this question answered.
When Socom 3 comes out will you rush to play it online or will you play offline first? I didnt play the offline version of Socom 2 until about 2 months after I had the game. I havent even tried beating the levels yet and I've had the game since it first came out. It just doesnt excite me like playing online does.
I'll probably play offline part first just to make sure the controls havent changed. I might even play the first couple of boards but I want to get online IMMEDETELY. They should have some kind of a Gun Range offline. A sim environment where you can practice using all of the weapons in the inventory that are available online. Maybe they already have such a thing I don't know. Maybe somebody already thought about it. Since they are adding alot of weaponry and vehicles and helicopters hopefully they have some kind of practice envirionment where you can practice offline.
If I have online when I buy socom 3, then i for sure will go to the online first, that is after ive looked over the controls and stuff like that. But yea, definately online first, to see what its like.
Ill go offline first, to get the feel of it.
I got my money saved away in a lock and chains, no one is going to get to my $50 So hopefully I can get it on the first day, and if I do, there's not going to be that many people online anyway.
Ill probably check it out on like, my 2nd, 3rd, or 4th day into it.
Well I finally reserved a copy the other day, I was the 83rd person to do so in that particular store. I'll go register my name online, then probably play offline for a while to get a feel for the weapons and attachments and new things that Zipper has added.
If I still have the my internet by that time and I have the money to buy the game I will try offline first. Like everyone else I would like to get a feel for the weapons and such. Try to get myself familiarize with everything before heading to the heavy gun fight. BTW everyone, IM BACK MOFOSSSS
If the is stuff that you can unlock by playing offline, then I will play offline, but if there isnt, I'll be playing online till 6 o'clock in the morning.
I'm sure that most of the people on this site will say that they are going to play online first. I am for sure, I want to get my name before someone steals it.

I play videogames with a grapefruit on my ****. It helps me get in the zone.
I can get the game possibly 2 weeks before if hits shelves! I work at Target. If I do that though, I will get fired. It's a chance I'm willing to take.
P.S. I might be able to see the game up to 4 weeks before its "released" onto shelves. We got Halo 2 around 2 1/2 weeks early, so I'm hopin for the best!
If I get it 2 weeks before, and there are no servers up yet, I'll just unlock everything on offline and come on the first day servers are up with the ghillie suit and all others ready to go. Then I'll just play offline whenever servers are down.

Socom 3 did something wrong, maybe it's because they went to "3" instead of "III"?

I will make two or three names I want to have online. I will then look at some new online features, and set myself up with some other people from the S3 clan. Following that I will go offline and play single player one mission a night. This is for my part of the strategy guide. If all goes well I'll be done in two or so weeks and have all the unlockables for online! WOOT!

He was refering to SocomII offline comparing it to what he will do as soon as Socom3 comes out. He is trying to express how unimportant he believes single player is.
