Didn't you read my first post where I talk about VAC2 for Counterstrike?

Along with Counterstrike running, it has a built in program called VAC2 - VALVE ANTI CHEAT 2, which is pretty damn hard to get around these days. If anyone is caught cheating, their account gets deleted, and their IP gets banned.. PERMANENTLY. They can never play another Valve game online again! (from the same IP) That means if I'm caught cheating on CS, I can't even play Half Life 2, because it connects to the Valve servers before you play to make sure your not on the blacklist and that your using a legit version of the game.

Don't you see that? If I cheat on Counterstrike, I can go buy Half Life 2 for 50 bucks in the store. Then I go home to run it, and it wont run. You can't even play the single player. Because it connects to the Valve server, and crossreferences your IP against the blacklist. Valve has no tolerance for cheating in the new CS. You used to get away with it, but now it's nearly impossible. Yeah you could get a new IP, but it doesn't let you on anyway. Thats because accounts are linked to the CD. Meaning if Zipper gave us 3 accounts each, and it was linked to your CD, they could ban your IP and your particular account. You'd have to get a new IP and a new Socom disk.
And anyway, the whole point is that if we know the top 10 players are glitchers, why post their names? They should just remove that feature where you see them every time you go past "players" on the main menu. Even if they couldn't remove cheating and didn't want to delete accounts, they could at least fight against it a few easy ways: Remove the whole Admiral rank to begin with. Then don't show the names of the top 10 players. That would cause a less lot people to be interested in ranking up.
