Well actually I (and most of my clan) are Captains, and we LOVE the terr. side. Besides if you think about it, the game is evened out.. I mean look at maps such as ; Fish Hook, Death Trap, Enowapi, Sujo, Bitter Jungle, Abandoned. All of those maps are pure Terrorist maps. And if you look at the others for example; Desert Glory, Foxhunt, Crossroads, That snow level with the bomb that i cant spell out, and many more are pretty even maps. So if you ask me, the game is pretty darn even.
Just take away the M-14's from the seals and I think it would be perfect.

I don't think the terrorists have an disadvantage......I truly think they have an advantage against the SEALS......if you are a terrorist most of the time you are probably forced to use the M14 and we ALL know how powerful the gun is......the only reason why I think terrorists can be such a dominant side is because I usually play with people who communicate on Terrorists ya know. You can't go rushing against the SEALS IW, RAW-14, and the M4A1.....when you're a terrorist and you're in a room with all these people who do their own stuff and don't communicate....9/10 times you will lose the game period...so I actually think the terrorists are not at an disadvantage but at an advantage..

Terrorists aren't at a disadvantage, stupid people are at a disadvantage. In the press release by Zipper, they admitted that the SEALs get accurate, long range weapons while the terrorists get shorter, more powerful weapons. Play accordingly, it isn't hard.

well im a professional terr as in i ALWAYS get on terrorist side unless no spots, hell the terrorist have all the cool outfits, **** the weps.when they start givein seals(red jacket of death, and yellow yachting club jackets) then well talk  oh and anyone on here whos played with me knows i love me bright colored outfits
secondly i do agree with AL "G" about alot of his observations. i say keep the stats, i loooove stats especially the suicide one  but take away the rank or make sure this time theres nooooo way in hell you can rank up.
third what really detracts from realism is the whole terrorist thing itself.in the game you really arent a full terrorist, your more like a guirilla fighter.if you were true terrorists youd have IED's (improvised explosive device's) and other shyt used by them, thats how shyt evens out for them in the real world. i mean look at iraq now, by numbers we shouldve whipped they ***, but guess what them fellas is hangin in there.not takin up for the insurgents but just sayin these types of unconventional weapons/bombs help sway things in there favor yet arent in the game so ofcourse seals will always have the advantage in the game.oh well.
i mean it wouldnt be hard to let someone be a suicide bomber.have it to wher eyou can only have 1 on the team whoever gets it first gets to do it.have it to wear if you pick this you cant carry any wep at all(this keeps from it bein too overpowered) and you just have to haoope you make it into a crowd of seals to detonate before being shot and killed. to me that would be heart thumpin action tryin to weave up to seals without dying to detonate the bomb. i mean it wouldnt be overpowered unless the seals dumb asses let you through to them all and unless you were able to take out 3 plus with it its not overpowering.
just some thoughts.

I think a lot of people felt I was talking directly to them about not wanting to be on Terrorists. Fact of the matter is I said that "The majority of the time (51% or more) the majority of captains (51% or more of the captains) want to be Seals". After logging 500+ hours on Socom since last November, I feel that this observation is true. There's plenty of Captains who like playing T, a lot don't care either way. But I also think that given a choice, most would choose Seals on most maps. Notice theres a lot of room for a lot of captains being on T in what I'm saying.
For you guys to say this is untrue just because your clan likes Terrorists, or you like them, or whatever, is just crazy. I like to be on Terrorists too, I don't care, I'll play either side and own, I'm all about having fun and I'll do that on either side, whether I win or lose. So I'm not talking about me or anyone in particular, I'm generalizing.
If anyone here has played Counterstrike, although I'm not a huge fan, the guns on each side are balanced a lot better. It's also nice theres no rank so you can leave rooms when you feel like it, and play like you want, instead of worrying about stupid rank. This is how I'd like Socom 3 to be. Again, I don't worry about rank and maybe neither do you, but a lot of people do. And they glitch and cheat because of it - and that affects regular players like us.
The problem with the Seal advantage in Socom 2 has been alleviated somewhat since August when people really started complaining about the IW because of the obviously vast Seal dominance. Before that nobody complained about the IW and EVERYONE used it and Terrorists lost even more than they do now. It was players themselves waking up to the fact that Seals have an advantage. I look at not using the IW, not to 'show off my skills that I'm not a noob and I can use other guns' but as an act of kindness, sort of like to give the Terrorists a fair chance. With that gun, anyone is a superstar. So the problem we are disccusing has been alleviated, however the problem still exists in the form of lots of people still using IWs and the M4A1s are almost as bad.
Anyway I don't want to discuss stuff like guns that everyone knows about, I'm here to discuss Socom 3. You can't say what I just said in the above paragraph is untrue, we all know it's true. Go back and read my first post.. the point I'm trying to make is that it will probably be EXACTLY the same in Socom 3. Seals will have all these cool attachments and before you know it they are gonna be the 'noob attachments'. <---*You read it here first!*
The bottom line is that in Socom 2 online, Seals win most of the time and I'm just hoping that in Socom 3, Terrorists will be more evenly matched. That's what I'm talking about here. I'm interested in discussing Socom 3 and the changes that will be made. It's possible to make a great game better, and the way to do that is to fix the biggest fundamental flaws. I think if people strictly want to discuss Seals Vs Terrorist in Socom 2 only, lets use the search function or start a new thread in the Socom 2 Online Gaming forum.
This fact is irregardless of the guns, or who likes to play what, it's a simple fact - Seals win most (especially in public servers)... and I for one hope they change it in Socom 3, that's all I'm saying.

Being a Terr isn't so bad, you just need to get used to their weapons and items.
I mean, some of their guns can be just as deadly as the I-Dub. The STG is very accuarte, and has a nice fire rate. The Terrorist have the advantage in most maps.
Being a terrorist isn't SO bad, once you get used to it.

do we give a ****? its online with people jumping 100 feet at a time and shooting through walls and break dancing on peoples bodies. let the terrorists have something!!! just say that they captured the weapon and sawed off the burst mechinism. one of my friends did that on his m16. works fine.

i agree its not neccesarily that the terrorists arent capable of being better or having the edge in certain times it just the people playing them dont think they can therefore dont put forth the effort needed to succeed as a terrorist.
