Alright, I just remembered something. Football players like like princes, they are paid in $5+million a year. Even some KICKERS, a guy whos sole job is to go on they feild for about a total of 2 min a game and kick a ball, then run off get paid in the millions. Hockey players are lucky to make a million a year, not even the greats make that much. Motstly get their big bucks from endorsements (sp?) and Ads.
Also, have you ever seena player in hockey pull a: pen, cellphone, and random other things when he scores? Also, whats up with the big fat guy danceing like a retard when he gets past the other fat guy, and hits they skinny guy? I have yet to see a golie get in a players face when he just completly stones him.
The paragraph up there, was VERY biased, but I dont give a rats-***. Seems all mOB and STEVE are saying are biased now. So Ill join in

Breath, hockey players get paid the most, that's why the lock out is going on right now, because the owners want more money.
Mob, I was being sarcastic in that last post...
Yes, I know players get fined for dancing in excess of a reasonable time...
Breath is right, though...Football players dance almost after every play.
I love it when the fat asses dance after saccing the QB.
Look out! Sumo on the loose!

football definetly is i mean if u think about it the point of football is to get the man with the ball on the ground by any means possible...in hockey the goal is to get to puck in a net with a largely padded goalie so hmm i voted football w00t

Ill agree with you on the dancing part, these players seem to think they're in a musical with all that celebrating.
But to say

Anyway, football players play less games because they're whimps, not because it's too rough.

is stupid, you cant blame the players for the schedule, I think having one game a week gets football better ratings, less injuries, and of course, more money.

This has been entertaining people. I voted for hockey because it is a more brutal sport than football and there is only one reason I can give.
Deion Sanders was out for months because of an ingrown toenail. Give me a f'n break! Mike Modano broke his nose one game, left for 5 minutes, reset his own nose (by himself!) and was back on the ice in that little amount of time. F'n toenail, gimme a break. Mob, that my friend, is tough. Football players are more concerned about their paycheck than they are for their own teammates so they are too cautious to get into fights because they might get hurt. I've seen plenty of so called "fights" in football and they nowhere near compare to hockey fights. All they do is grab the jerseys and push eachother around. Very rarely do you see them throw boxing type punches like they do in hockey.
Hockey games are 82 games a year and that doesn't even include the Stanley cup playoffs. Football is only 16 games per season (I believe) and then the Playoffs. Just to give a factual number.
Hockey players celebrate their goals for a few seconds and are right back into the game. In football, they dance for a few seconds and have plenty of time to rest between their touchdown and the next kickoff. Hockey players are on the go every minute of the game (excluding challenges).
They say the linebackers in football is like running into a wall, but in hockey they have the wall running into them. :D
THATS ALL FOR NOW BUT I HAVE MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM.

I dont know much about either of these sports only seen them breifly but I do think Rugby should definately been included, one person (if not more) has mentioned it but rugby is a seriously rough sport with little padding. A hell of a lot less than american football (saying football for me just dosent sound right reffering to american football), in a school match not so long ago someone broke their neck, luckily they were not paralyzed though it does show the true danger in this sport, people daily get injuries from rugby including breaking things and minor injuries. After training every member of the team will have some kind of graze or bruise or worse.
Sorry, a bit off topic but just making a point.

in hockey people dont use their nose. In football, you are CONSTANTLY running on your feet. Have you ever had an ingrown toe-nail? they hurt like a b1tch... now have one of those and play the position of cornerback with it You can skate without your nose, you cant skate without a hand or foot.
put some thought into it before you post again.
and the next time a hockey game comes on (if another one does...) take down the average time it takes from a goal to the next face-off and the average time between a PAT and the next kickoff. you will notice they are roughly the same.

Your wrong moB. Having a broken nose affects your breathing and with the hockey rink as cold as it is can really effect your game. Hockey players have played hockey while they are healing for a broken leg, so don't gimme that in-grown toenail hurts crap. Hell, I've even seen them play hockey with broken jaws. Sure they wear face bracing on their helmets to protect their face but its doesn't protect much. You want more mob? How about football players leaving a game for a stupid little leg cramp. Talk about f'n whimps. I do know what I'm talking about. I've had plenty of in-grown toe-nails and leg cramps. They don't affect me at all. I sure as hell don't take months off for a little ingrown toe-nail.
Ryan Leaf- Colts
Missed 39 games in just four seasons, some due to a wrist injury that still allowed him to play golf. Junior Seau said," Football is not made for anybody, Leaf was built for cheerleading."
Terry Glenn- Patriots
Went AWOL from the Pats and sued the NFL, claiming chronic depression prevented him from following the league's substance abuse policy.
