LMAO!!! Just from that post I now know that you are completely biased...
You dont know the difference between LineBACKERS and LineMEN. Line backers are paid to chase down that person with the ball... ALL over the field. they are not fat, they are a HELL of a lot of muscle. Now... take a lineBACKER and see whats up :D

Next time a game is on (damn, I'll have to wait three weeks... ), I'll see 325 pound guys running as fast as circlebackers...
No 325 pound guy, with at least 10 pounds of gear on, runs as fast as the circle guys...
Man, this is fun!

circle guys? what the hell are you playing now? I dont know what sport you are into but circle guys? LMAO!
oh, well if you want to see a linebacker run nearly as fast as a CORNERback, pay particular close attention to LaVar Arrington (Washington Redskins), Derrick Brooks (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Brian Urlacher (Chicago Bears), Ray Lewis (Baltimore Ravens), and many others.
circle backs... lol

Well hell, you have your LINE back, your CORNER back, probobly a TRIANGLE back, so why not a CIRCLE back?
Too many guys on a football team.
If they played half as many games as hockey players, I;d give them more credit.

I have done a little bit of Kanadian football and still doing Kanadian Hockey....IMHO I think hockey is more brutal.
I played corner, and sure it was rough (I didn't play much, broke my ankle beginning of season) but I've had way tougher hits in hockey.
The mental aspect of both games are the same too I think, in football you are abviously converting plays and making them up and adapting to plays on the fly, but same with hockey. One minute you can be pwning them and the next 2 of your guys get a penalty and it's a 5v3, you have to remember all the formations and keep it tight and everything or you'll get pwned. So both games are just as hard on the mind.
Hockey though, Steve said it, **** came come at you from nowhere, wether it be a stick, a body, a knee, a SKATE, a puck, a couple stucks, a couple bodies, a couple skates, a bag of popcorn....etc etc. and you aren't expecting it, sometimes you get the wind knocked out of you and have trouble getting up.
I would have to say hockey is more brutal because we (hockey players) have something in our hands that can do some major damage, so if we get ub3r pissed off, watch the **** out because I've got a long aluminum stick and it's coming for the back of your legs!
I dunno, but in my experience in both games, hockey players have had a worse temper and it escalates more than football, from what I've seen....football players get pissed off but its kind of settled after some words and/or pushing, and they think of next play. Hockey on the other hand, if one of your guys gets an unclean hit, or the other team gets away with a penalty, you want to do something about it and we do! I remember one game where our golie froze the puck and the guy simply slashed his helmet, at the back of it with the least protection, well damn! That was the end of him! Our guys got into fights, sticks...arms, w/e, and eventually our golie got up and searched for the ****er who hit him.
Ok ramble ramble ramble, hockey is more violent
A) we have a stick, and we get pissed easily
2) hard hits or unclean hits or slashes or w/e can come out of nowhere (i know in football they can too....but hockey's are more brutal because you fall on hard ice, or slam your head into boards etc.)
3) one spark is all we need to start a big rumble...people get so aggresive during the games
4) we love our golies (unless they blow) and when someone takes a hit at them, we hate that and do whatever it takes to cause that guy as much pain as possible
5) there is no sitting off and drinking gatorade because you're tired or you're ankle feels a little sore, you suck it up and go whoop some ***.
Im sorry for the ramble... :?

I like football more but I have to say hockey on this tho for these reasons: When you fall or get drilled you either hit HARD ice or the boards both very hard and painful, in football you hit grass, yes you do have people hitting you full contact and jumping on you but the pads dull the pain. Hockey you can just get so hurt by just hitting the boards. Football is getting hurt by landing the wrong way or getting hit so hard you get all wooozy.

Well I just have one question for you mOB, has a football player benn smashed so hard that he has broken through things? No, I dont think it has been done. Yet in a hockey game MANY players have been checked soooooo damn hard that they actually got smashed right throught the plexi glass borads. Fun eh?

Those boards go through a lot of stress... do you really think that a plexi glass wall can hold up on constant weight hitting it?
Fottball players have gotten major concusions(sp?) and all sorts of other injuries from the concrete walls on the other end of the endzone. When the field goal post used to be at the front of the endzone, there have been many football players who have ended their OWN careers by running into it. sidelines have been smashed up by hard a55 tackles right at the sideline. (cameras, camera men, benches, cooling fans, heating units, other players and coaches). see, with football, you dont have to watch the game from behind a plexi glass board so there isnt anything there to break. i GUARENTEE you if there were, there would be more broken ones of those than Hockey produces because of all of the hard sideline hits.

See, football players have all that stuff if they get cold or hot or w/e Hockey players have to sit on a giant ice pool for 60 min, and even fall onto it. More proof that hockeyplayers take more.
