When I try 2 connect to socom2 online, it wont connect
:( I am having troubles connecting to socom 2 online and it sayz authenticating dnas data, it does that then it says connectiing to the internet. Finally it says could not connect to the internet. Here is my setup: I got my DSL router hooked up upstairs and everything. From there, i got a 50 foot ethernet cable going downstairs to my room. Then the cable goes into my network adapter. I can got to LAN on socom 2 but noone is in a LAN by my house. Can Someone tell me how to make online for socom2 work for me? PLease help. All Answers Are Appreciated.

50 ft might be a problem with the data not moving fast enough.

you might wanna try to put the PS2 closer to the DSL Router.

This happend to me the other night...shut down..then unplug the ethernet cable...plug it back in and turn you ps2 back on......that fixed it for me

i dont think its the cable because people tell me that they got 100ft of cable running through their house. PLease help me!

When i "try"-lol to go online, it wont even get me to the place where you can select what you wanna do. AND when will I know when to turn off the ps2 and restart the DSL modem and plug the ethernet cable back in to the ps2?

it might be becuse ur cable isnt good but probaly the inter net becusase the ppl that amke the patches made it so wen u hav a slow internet the cable isnt feedin the imformation through fast enough and thinks ur pullin out the cable and disconets

It is most likely that you are behind a firewall, you may need to open some ports to get past this. Look on google for the ports that need to be opened. I am pretty sure this is it, have you ever been able to connect?
