I found a manual online before but once you take apart your PS2 the warrenty is gone. If you still have the warrenty return it to sony, and they'll prob just send a new one.

Depending on how bad your port is, you may need to. But I ve found that a vacuum does a pretty good job.

Call the sony help #. Its free to call so you can talk as long as you want, be prepaired to give ALL your seriel numbers for all of your sony equipment tho. After you give all the seriel numbers then you ask your question but the basterds usually say send it in but its like $80 to send in and repair and they may not even be able to fix it. If your PS2 is broke my advise just buy a new one.

Is it absolutely necessary for you to do it? Like....is there something wrong and simply blowing in it won't help? What exactly is wrong, maybe we can help, we've had some pretty thorough posts aboot cleaning ps2's recently.

Did you try the other port? If neither one is working, I would say you either have a larger PS2 problem, or a connection issue. Do you have a router? Have you changed your set up at all?

Try rebooting everything, router, modem, ps2, all that stuff.

To clean a USB Port:

Simply try this. Go to a local Hardware store and look for some VERY fine and small Pipe Cleaners. The 'hairs' need to be soft and durable.

*Note* BLOWING into the USB port only sends the unwanted matter DEEPER in, and forming a nice concentrated block of crap *Note*

Insert the Pipe Cleaner (NO ALCOHOL) and swab as good as you can.

This is my advice and I'd try it. The Pipe Cleaners aren't expensive..
