Cheesy has a good idea, but that may make it worse like if some hairs fell off the brush into the port. Try the other USB port if neither works just suck it up and buy a NEW PS2 then you will have no problems and you will know that it is not the PS2 plus you will have a new system. Keep the old one to play single player games and watch DVD's. :D

So you're saying don't try Cheesys idea and just buy another PS2? Why WOULDN'T you want to try to clean it first. Even if it makes it worse from some "hairs", the usb ports will STILL not work. And you would STILL be able to use the console for single player games and DVDs with damaged usb ports.

Sorry but I just didn't think you made any sense with that post.

If you don't know then why make up a price?

I had a problem with my PS2 and I gave them my serial numbers and shipped ot in to them got it back in about a week. i only had to pay for shipping and it worked great so thats the truth.

And if you call the toll free number 1-800-345-7669 they will tell you the proper way to clean your ps2..

(and luckily i found my serial sticker)

Do you have a keyboard...? I'm starting to think that the problem lies in your Mic, not the USB Port. Please give a confermation on if you have done my idea or not, rather than blowing it off and expecting more to come. If this is a mic problem, then you need to return the mic, or just buy a new one.
