Noob cannon posts or whatever concerning it.

Is there ANY possible chance that you guys can make a sticky stating "ALL COMMENTS CONCERNING THE TERM NOOB CANNON, GO HERE" or something in that manner in the online section? (or whichever section) I haven't been here long, and I think I even made one about tired of hearing about the term, but it just seems that we get a thread a week about this topic. I mean I like giving my views on it, but really, I like giving my views on anything. I can bet a lot of you veterans here are tired of seeing people bring the topic of the "Idub" or the "203" and giving the same opinion on it when they could have just searched and found many threads about it.

If you make a sticky topic on it, everything can go there, and it would elminate the threads being started over and over again. If people DO keep making them in the future, than it will REALLY show that they didn't read the rules and you can handle it which ever way you would feel fit.

So what do you think?

I think that would be a good idea actually. It would take less clutter off the boards. But newbs here may not pay attention to it.

Thats a great idea I'm sick of seeing "noob cannon" topic all over the place it gets really anoying a sticky would be good to keep it all organized.

I dont think thats a good idea... this is a socom 2 forum, people come here to vent... maybe a venting section? People are only here cause they wanna ***** about things. Thats the point of a forum, to talk about something. If we keep having stickies for everything what are people going to post about?

The bad thing about a "venting section" is because you will get a lot more "Socom sucks @SS!" threads and useless threads just to get people mad.

I mean is there really any bad sides in making a sticky for this topic? I mean it IS a popular topic. And to keep it fresh, if it gets many replies, you can close it and open more versions. (for example, if a "noob cannon" sticky was made, and it got to page 20, you could erase it and start "noob cannon version2" that way people won't miss that much and they won't worry about people not noticing their threads.)

The thing is like you said, people come here to vent. If thats the case, then no one can say "Use the search function" or anything similar. It's the same thing.

Well, if people come here to vent that SOCOM 2 sucks a55, then so be it. That is their opinion while we have our own. These are forums, opinions are appreciated. :D

That's not my point though. My point is, if you make a noob cannon sticky thread (which people like to talk about) then it will eliminate the multiple threads being made, PLUS will let people talk about it, WHENEVER they want. BUT, if you make a venting thread, than you won't get people complaining about little quirrels, you'll get fanboys talking about "Socom sucks HALO RULES. YOU ALL ARE DUMBHEADS" type of posts. I know opinions are open and accepted. And if someone didn't like Socom II, I wouldn't mind them giving excuses on why and have legit excuses. But making a WHOLE THREAD about venting about problems with Socom AS A WHOLE will only bring trouble, and Socom haters.

BUT, maybe that can go with my suggestion too. Making a noob cannon sticky might bring people with lame excuses and/or lame replies that have no point but to annoy. If that's true, maybe one of you guys can make a sticky saying "STOP with the noob cannon threads" or "If you are tired of people calling something a noob cannon, post your reasons why."

I'm just trying to suggest a way to simplify noob cannon posts that often occur and become reborn time and time again.

A venting section could go real bad real fast because more and more posts would have ****, *****, *****, all over the place and then people woul start yelling at peoples posts like "This is a ****ing stupid post" people get to angry over the stuff thats already on the site never mind a place dedicated to letting people yell at each other and about the game.

I mean, it would organize things and have people not worry about bringing up a new thread about it. If a noob comes in and says "I wanna talk about the noob cannon subject" he could head there without someone jumping on him about it. Just look at the online section and see how many threads are there about it, that can be cleaned up with the sticky.

Announcements and stickies are ignored from mainly new people, of whom this suggestion is for. Perfect example: The Sig Request thing. 1 out of 20 new people read it and use it. Ive seen: 'Use this format- *link*' way too many times. It is a good idea, i just dont think it will be as effective as you think.
