Numerous clans

Is it just me, or are there way too many clans out there? There are thousands of clans created by players on the spur of the moment and the clans never get more than a couple members. There are very few clans that have more than a dozen people, at least compared to the number of clans with four.
When people make clans becuase they think that it will be cool, it doesn't last. It takes a lot of work to get a decent clan. Maybe people don't see that, and they try to make one, but can't find members.]
It is hard to find a large, active, fun clan. I found mine in S-2. I don't plan on ever leaving, because until recently, I've just floated from clan to clan.
I think that the International Universe is better for clans too. It hasn't been around long enough to have all of the little, doomed-to-extinction clans that the North American one does.
What do you think? What experiences have you had trying to manage a clan, and did it end in success or miserable failure?

Back in my n00b days (which sometimes still feel like these days ) I used to be a horrible clan hopper, stay in a certain clan for a couple weeks, then move on. A while before the reset, I found [AF], they were a fun bunch of guys, but then it got dramatic and people left the clan for accidental tk's and bitching and whining, and these were grown men, eventually it died.

Then I moved to [8] (mOB's clan) and that was a fun time, I didn't get along with one member....and every war we were in had 7+ people, so I got booted 24/7 but it was a fun clan.

Until the INTL came out...I was lost....but then I decided to try out another Socom-2.com clan, and so far..... its "smashing Basil!" of course I've tried making other clans a long time ago....but none ever really lasted. I have a good feeling about [S-2] though.

Word of advice...if you are making a sniper only clan.....that'd be a little tough to organize and possibly even win clanwars and stuff don't you think?
