If anything, they need less guns. The SEALs have way too many guns that are exactly the same (stats may vary a little, but they fill identical roles). The M4, IW, and RA are the same. The IW is an SAS weapon, and the RA is a spetsnaz weapon, so I know why they are there, but if you could only use them when you were SAS or Spetsnaz, it would be better. But stupider... You couldn't have some SAS guys running around with no option to take SAS weapons, but you couldn't stop a SEAL from using them either.

Actually the guns are different. First the RA-14 fires the 7.62. Just because the IW and the M4 fires the 5.56 doesn't mean they are the same. It is how long the barrell is and the action of the rifle. There are more reasons for why they differ.

Yeah seals probably wouldn't use those but I have to say i like the UMP better. It is light, quick, reliable, and fires a more powerful round than the MP5. The .45 is a much better round than 9mm. More stopping power and doesnt over penetrate. And a slow rate of fire is a good thing for a round that powerfull and for possible hostage recue. Plus it can accept mounting rails in at least 5 locations, IMO a better gun.
