Wireless Setup Help

I just got a wireless setup for my ps2 online. I used to have all wires and it got tangled a lot and I didnt like it.

So, I set everything up. Everyting works fine. I start playing socom II and I join a game. I begin playing with everyone online and at the end of the round (no lag/game is fine), the game freezes. I thought it was a one time thing. But everytime a round ends it either restarts automatically or freezes my game.

Any idea why?..and how can I fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Also of note. When music starts at the end/start it gets cut off and just stops sometimes. Sometimes even skips.

I dont know, but check to see if your Socom CD has any big scratches. I had a problem that's kinda like yours, I want try to play online, and it would restart when i would join games, and other times it'd be fine. I thought it had to do with one of my playstations, but i figured out that one of the Socom CDs was bitten by my dog and had a dent/scratch. I guess it would restart when i couldn't load some things. It's just a suggestion, good luck.

Ok several things you need to look into. Make sure your firewall isn't affecting it. 2 some wireless phones disturb your signals from your router so make sure no one is talking on a phone. Make sure you are not to far away from your router. Try something different put your PS2 in the same room with your router (if you have a tv in there) if that works then you know your to far away. Try different things trial and error. Good luck.

The firewall is something all routers have. It is in stupid terms like a wall of fire it keeps things out, from your computer but sometimes they stop things that are ok. With out the firewall you are open to viruses but as long and you don't go to sites your not sopposed to then you will be fine.

Well its all in the same room. I just got it wireless because it wasn't much more money and incase I wanted to switch rooms I could.

I am buying a new copy of Socom but I still want to put the firmware in. But read my above post to help me.

Also, whats the firewall? And how do I check if thats it?

Thanks guys!
