A LITTLE MESSAGE TO SONY!!

ok i was just looking around some forums cuz im on my free at school and i came across this one post about a clan that is sending a email to sony explaing all the problems that us socom fanatics are having, and complaining about. and they recommended that everyone that read the thread send a copy of it to them, i have already done it. i am hoping that everyone here will as well, and hopefuly this will be the end of the "********"
Ok copy the below letter and send it to this address: webmaster@playstation.sony.com

To Sony Computer Entertainment America

In regards to Socom II: Navy Seals.

As Customers who have invested in the purchase of your gaming products,
not only related to Socom II, we have been reliably informed that you
believe (in statements made to customers) that there are no problems
with the Socom II online game play experience. It was also stated by Sony
that if there were problems you would be inundated with complaints. We
hope this will suffice.

The greatest majority of players online complain regularly of the
massive lag and horrendous hit recognition and mic blackouts as well as
other problems. These problems are seen daily and they have impeded the
enjoyment of hundreds (more likely thousands) of players.

Below is quick list (though by no means all inclusive) of the problems
that have been reported regularly by many players which are obviously
server related.

*Watching players appear and disappear in front of or behind you as you
try to engage them.
*Killing an opposing player who doesn’t drop down and actually die
until seconds later, and in some cases, shoots back and kills you.
*Mic Blackouts- at any point in or after a round, the mic goes out
making it impossible to communicate with teammates
*Shooting at an opposing player, seeing blood cascade from their body
or head but instead of dying they turn around and kill you with a single
shot or burst from their gun.
*Friend's List not updating with the names of friends who have been
added.
*Clan List in which no teammates are listed and upon entering the list
receiving a message that your clan has been disbanded
*Gun does not fire when pressing trigger button but still see your ammo
amount decline.
*Grenade lands next to an opposing player who runs right through the
blast at you or, conversely, being killed by a grenade that is no where
near you.
*Getting killed through a solid wall that can’t usually be penetrated
by bullets.
*Mine Inconsistency- having an opposing player walk right over a mine
that has been laid with no effect at all.
*Hostages get stuck in walls or in some cases, releasing hostages and
they manage to be sucked through the pores in the door.
*Messages at the end or in the middle of a round stating that a
specific team has won only to see that the opposite of that has occurred.
*Invisibility- players on the opposing team can only be seen by a
specific player on your team, or nobody at all.
*Mass Boots- the most recent plague in which every person logged in
gets booted off and many are not able to log on for about 10-30 minutes
later.

The majority of these problems are without a doubt server problems, and
they have consistently been getting worse since the Christmas season.

This letter was created to inform Sony of the things we as consumers
have witnessed daily in the hopes that Sony will resolve them. We ask not
to get the standard runaround, the standard reply letter, the standard
treatment. We as consumers expect more from a company with such a
worldwide reputation.

We fully understand that it is an enormous task to maintain the online
servers, but it is a task that needs to be addressed for the stability
and credibility of the franchise.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter. We hope that you will
be willing to address these issues.

Sincerely,

Member

Very very nice, good job, nice and detailed....dunno what you mean by mass boots.....never had one of those since the INTL server first came out...?

Post back with Sony's reply, I know I sent them an email about the glitchers a while back and they just simply said it will be forwarded to right department.... Rocky-Snoman sent an email to them recently as well, as of now, no reply....GL though, nice email.

I agree with it in some cases but not other ones like these:

*Watching players appear and disappear in front of or behind you as you
try to engage them.
*Killing an opposing player who doesn’t drop down and actually die
until seconds later, and in some cases, shoots back and kills you.
*Shooting at an opposing player, seeing blood cascade from their body
or head but instead of dying they turn around and kill you with a single
shot or burst from their gun.

Those are not sony's problems but probably by the players connection speed. If someone has a poor connection due to it by them or by some other circumstances sony cant do anything about it.

I dont plan on sending it.

That's not bad. I'm glad that it was worded that way- it sounds like a respectable person wrote it, and is more likely to be remembered.

However, if you want your voice heard, a letter is far, far better. A well constructed letter will be noticed. Email, even if it ever gets read, is forgotten- guaranteed. Enough good letters, and we'll get some action. I guarantee this. Also, if you can, write to a specific person, preferably someone who matters. Sending an email to a general SONY tech support king of email address is risky. There is a large chance that it will not get noticed. However, if it is well writen, if someone starts to read it, they'll finish it. People throw out hate mail and stuff that takes any effort to decipher.

very nice venom, very nice. but i think that sony is fully aware of the problems in the online experience (im sure they get thousands of emails a month stateing what you have previously said and asking about S3 info)

Thou shall not blurt out stupid comments such as this...

That email has been around for months, yet nothing has ever been done....

I wouldn't get your hopes up.
