This is one of the funniest chronicles of my life.

First of all, the French have every right to hate Americans, and I'd back them on many of their claims any day. I am an American citizen, but this doesn't mean I agree with current political events. I absolutely despise the inward egocentrical attitude of many Americans unwilling to realize they aren't the best in this world. Isn't the whole point of all men created equal supposed to be believable? I love how everyone thinks they need more benefits while they walk on other people and don't even see the irony.

Now that's a bit off topic, but it will tie in. To Bone Yard, how can you call someone a "hater" when you are, in your last post, needlessly flaming people of other nationalities. Nothing validates a point like contradictions... Wait, I mean no point is valid when peppered so heavily with contradictions.

To Irish_Thug: by stating that Canadians and French are your least favorite peoples, you're inadvertently saying you hate them. Can you honestly tell me that you like hate groups and criminals more than Canadians and French? If not, you should clarify your statements...

Anyway, I still stand by my statement that hating much of the American populous is logical for many Europeans.

This topic has gotton waay out of hand it should be locked so no one else can harras Canadians there the only "cool" french people out there. They keep there mouth shut and play hockey so why do you have to bring them into this?

Wow. Maybe this thread should get locked! What started out as a criticism of racial taunts and the anger racism can cause has turned into a flame about who hates who. Examples from a number of recent posts: "American's aren't my favorite category."... "The French are among my least favorite people, right along side of the Canadians""... "Your a communist"... "I say screw the french"..." i still don't like canadians every time i met them there mean to me :'("

It's obvious that these feelings are deeply ingrained (for whatever reason), and I imagine it's not easy to change the way you THINK... but, come on everybody, the purpose of the original post was to point out the problem, not make it worse.

WOW!!!! Im shocked now... I thought by posting here you guys would be with me and not against me. Now let me tell you french haters some things.

First of all im not a european french but a French Canadian, i mentionned im from Quebec...
We are totally different from the "real" french. We really dont speak the same french (they cant even understand us), our wifes dont have big noses and hairy you know what. We're not frogs (BTW where this insult comes from?). I like my fecking Canada over all! We play Hockey not soccer. So stop hating us because you dont like what europeans did to Armstrong...

i think it's pretty stupid as well when you got ignorant mo' fo's saying stupid **** like that on socom.. All i do is just ignore them. it's not that hard. if anyone wants to say otherwise all you have to do is look me up on socom and there i'll be standing over your body dancing on it!!!

In my 4 days online, I was amazed at the racial remarks and use of the "N" word. I agree with others here. The people that do this stuff would NEVER try it in real life. Sitting in the safety of their home with no apparent way of getting confronted with the issue, they can try to seem like something they're not. Its just like road rage, how many times has somebody cussed you, given you the finger, a dirty look, etc; and then just keep on driving? Now, how many times has someone stopped their car in front of yours, got out and walked up to your window and dared you step out? The little beotches that let fly with the racial slurs are definitely the kind that drive off. I am a white male, I get online to play against other people, I don't care if they're blue, pink, black, or a light shade of muave.

Well, Well, Well...

I find racisim stupid, poointless and just not needed. It's a generalization when people say things like "Well, the french wont back us up so why schoudn't i bash you". Just because he might be french dosen't mean he hates American, Not all of them do. Same goes for white peopel, Sure alot are racist, Not all though. Black people are hardly racist but you catch a few every now and then. Asians, Japs, ect.. I ain't useing Jap as a racical slur, I'm just useing it to not have to type the word because I am lazy. Personally, I enjoy hearing it because it gives a good laugh, Not to meniont the fact that the ones who do this are between 13-15 years old.. It's rare you catch like a 24 year old spittin' racial slurs on a video games.. Much less real life.. I mean they are out there but it's not common.

The thing I don't get though.. Is when some kid comes in and starts spittin' racial slurs some guy will say "You won't say that to my face, I'd cap you" That's just as bad, Because most of the people haven't even shot a gun much less ever held one. I think saying you're gonna shoot someone is just as bad as calling someone a "*****" or whetever. I mean, Occasionally I might spit it out but afterwards I appolgize to any black people. It's aminly because I got owned by a mine I didn't see or something.. Or walked right into a sniper trap.. Usually, I just say fook and be done with it and wait for the next round.

Being a racist is just as bad as saying you: Smoke weed, Deal Drugs, Roll in a gang, Ect.. 90% of the people who say they do, Don't. It's that simple, If you brag about it you don't do it, Seriously.. Some people on Socom need to wake up and smeel the coffe. Plus, If you get enjoyment out of talking about any of the following, You need to put Socom away.. This is one of the reasons I quit playing, Was because of retarded, immature kids. Thanks for ruining a game!

Incredible. The ignorance of many of statements is astounding.
Flaming is fine. When it is a constructive flame that has logic to back it up, it is welcome. But, when you get ignorant attacks with no reasoning, you reach a new low. I can honestly say that I love arguments. A nice debate is one of the funnest things you can participate in. This is not a nice debate.
Now, I ask you this: why do you dislike other people. Give your reasons.And try not to say "Because they didn't wage war against Iraq with us." That is foolish. The war was in a grey area. The morals of the war and a matter of opinion, which is something that can never be debated. And don't bring up WW2. That would expose your ignorance further.
You can not say that they owe you a war since you helped them. Also, it wasn't just America helping. It is called a World War becuase the whole world helped. Don't think that the French didn't fight. And they wouldn't be speaking German or Japanese. The Japanese attacked the U.S., (although they did attack other countries, you implied that it was the European countries that would do the speaking) not Europe, and the Germans wouldn't have forced a language change. They could still speak their native tongue.
