Socom Racism

Some people seem to be forgetting the racism towards anyone, not just 'African Americans'. I, too, am white, and I get comments made against me by black people occasionally.

I think it all needs to stop, really. It doesn't matter who you are, you are in no position to make remarks about something someone has no way to change... And even if they could change it, it's their decision to live with, not yours!

for gods sake where are the parents of the 13-14 year old people. if my mother caught me doing that(not that i ever would) she would probably rip that headset of so hard it would probably take an ear with it.

Yeah in every game i been in today there as been at least 3-5 12 years old dropin the n word and im black. Most times its doesnt bother me but they go 2 far sometimes.

Even if nobody else stays quiet, at least you did. You can feel good about that. I like to take of my mic too, sometimes. I crank down the volume and set it far, far away from me. Then, when the game starts, it's mutin' time!

Many people obviously don't realize that in the agreement that you agree to every time you play, it specifically taboos racism- and anything hurtful at all. Of course, I know that this is because they don't read it. I read some of it once. I think that I skimmed over the rest, too. It is basically just common sense. Have some respect.

Yeah you're all true. Yesterday I went into a game and the last guy in our team trying to glitch. Then when he died I asked him why he wanted to glitvh and he said: "Cuz the hole seals team is glitching to *****!"

Since im not black it doesn't really hurt me, but just the way he said it, it was ugly. And yes it was a 12 years old kid. They think there so though and/or thug, but if we would meet them in the real life, they'd be scared im sure!

That's all to say that racism is present in Socom, and most of the time its coming out of a kid's mouth...

Do you think it may be cuz there listening to much Rap music? (I hear a lot of shits like that in that kind of music, even if im not listening to this...)
Maybe they just wanna do like these rappers and be a "gangsta" lol :D

I think it was mOB who said that they will talk as much **** as they want, because there is such a big geological difference between them & whoever they are bashing. I know that they wouldn't say it to any black guy's face in real life, so I try my best to ignore it...


I remember one guy was talking trash in a war, mostly racist stuff, and we asked where he lived, he said Clear Water Beach Florida...or something like that. Turns out the guy he was talking **** to lived 30minutes away, in Daytona Beach...right after he said that the guy shut up....was pretty funny.

Yeah i just got out of a Demo medley when 2 clans where arguing over race

It gets frusterating cuz most of the time when the people are arguing it takes up about 10 minutes or so in the lobby. Then once you finish the game and return back to the lobby, whoever wins just talks trash and itll take longer than the first time

ya just yesterday i was at my friends house playing socom (cuz my PS2 is taken away) and i was playing a round with some friends.

then the next map starts, a new guy is in there, and the first thing outta his mouth was "it's ***** beatin time" well i shot his square in his back with my sniper and the guys was voted off b4 i could even put mine in myself.

so i guees what im trying to say is that people talk **** in socom, and most end up getting what they deserve, but some get away with it and those are the ones that piss me off

yea, all people talk about in the servers is going to the international server to make fun of some chinks and other stuff like that
