The welfare system is great, on paper.

I am not near wealthy.....as a matter of fact im poor. But I don't recieve any form of welfare. I work hard for the little $$ that I get. I would love to have a few things that I can't afford, but I refuse to take from someone else.

If we, as a society, were held responsible for our own actions, we would be a better people.
I thought I was the only one who saw our welfare system as a problem. I totally agree 100% with this post
Just for the record, I dont feel the system is wrong, its the abusers. If only people that needed it used it, we would have a surplus.

But really, thats a good point. I would donate but they aren't exactly clean either. Donations always have their thumbs on the scale. So many ways too help but I'm too lazy. Yes I'm part of the problem.
You know what I mean by overfeeding, not the literal meaning but things like 5 percent of the people owning 50%+ of the land(In places it is much like that if not worse). I really think that if people didn't dip deep into the kool-aid that the world would be much better. We treat the earth as if the rescources were infinite. As if we could just sit here and take and take and take. I believe that we need to consume as little as possible. It's too late to go back to agriculture, we've raped the earth so much we can't go back. As humans we are retarded and make stupid decisions resulting in repercussions later on. Everything we do today to fix problems we have made in the past will result in problems tomorrow. I blame this on A. The government, B. The elite, C. The people who blame the media.(generally the psuedo-elite who do)
NOTE: Don't call them homeless, they are houseless. A home is an emotional place where you feel accepted and/or loved. A house is a shelter where you sleep in.

It still doesn't matter if it was 100,000 or not. What matters is the fact that we used it doesn't make us murderers. If we used RPGs to kill 100,000 people, would it still matter? I think not. Its war, people are going to die(innocent or not)

I don't know about you but I barely have the money to feed and clothe myself let alone poor people(which I am one). It all depends on WHERE you live that determins how much something like food costs. Hell I even lived off of food stamps when I was little. Point is,even if I had a hell of alot of money I still couldn't feed all the poor people. As far as charities are concerned, not even they put ALL the money they recieve to pay for poor peoples problems. I am not a greedy man but if I earned as much as these rich people I still wouldn't help anyone unless I am positive that it will go to that. I don't think rich people or the government should have an obligation to give people the stuff they should go out and earn themselves. I'm sorry but I find that to be the laziest thing I ever heard.

That is very true. It is not the only thing that looks good on paper either. Communism is, on paper, not in pracitice, a good system. I'm sure that you notice the similarities between communism and community. In communism, nobody is supposed to have private property. Basically, everything is everyone's. This would be great if the goverment didn't decide that they [the ogvernment] could have private property. They take everything and allow starvation and poverty to run rampant. Dictatorships could be good in certain conditions too.

These systems turn rotten under the rule of evil men. Democracy, it seems, does not work well either. It puts the people as the bosses. This is bad because, as we know, people are stupid. Then, the corrupt politicians try to trick us and lie to us, and take more power all the while claiming that we are the true leaders.

It is the human curse to be corrupt. We are cursed with being the most evil, vile things in existance. That is what comes with intelligence ans choice. We have the ability and the capacity to be good or evil. We usually choose evil. But, once in a while, good triumphs. Then, with an overwhelming force of good, the evil pretends to be bad. Then we have evil and corruption everywhere. But nobody does anything about because they too are evil in disguise. We live in a time of lies.

Any system could work well with the right leader. The best system would be a dictatorship. The best system is one where a compassionate, smart, truly great, good man rules absolutely. He would not abuse his power (because he is good), but he would not have his power abused by others either because he is a dictator, and absolute ruler. He would have to change the government into a democracy when he steps down, though, because the next person would not be a great man at all. The odds are far too low.

Democracy is good because nothing gets done. It is completely neutral. No bad happens, but also no good. This is better than other systems where a lot happens, but it is bad.

It has been proven that the only constants are human stupidity and human evil. Humans that love never last long. There are always some, but they die, and when they die, so does their love. They say that love is eternal. Why don'e we love eachother then?

This brings to mind an essay I had to write in school today. It was on To kill a Mockingbird. This is an excellent book and I suggest that you all read it. It is relevant because one of the main themes in the novel is innocence.

In my essay, I wrote, among other things, that children are innocent. They are inncoent, and as they grow, they become ignorant. Until one day when they become adults and truly ignorant. Children see no differnce in wealth, race, or creed. Why do we grow ignorant with age? Should wisdom not come with age rather than ignorance? Why does wisdom fade?

If humans were good, would we not learn? As it is, we merely forget. Every minute of every day, we forget. We forget to not see colour, we forget to not count money. We forget to love. We forget to care. We forget what sins are. We forget that there is such thing as evil.

Evil does exist. It is in every lie, every rude gesture, every punch, every kick, every breath we take is evil, not that we have forgotten. Ignorance is bliss? Ignorance is evil.

Wisdom- good- lies in learning. Wisdom is being blind. No, wisdom is not being blind. Wisdom is not acknowledging that there is anything to be blind to. Ignorance is inventing differnces. Ignorances is fear. Ignorance is fearing the differences.

Why do only children cry? Because the one thing that children see is the ignorance is others. They cry because they will lose their wisdom. Children cry because we are evil.

*takes a breath* long read......

You sound like a Ghandi but somewhat truthfull. We are evil men, so God says. Our very being is sinful and therefor there can be no peace amongst us. We do not have the infinite wisdom to fix every problem we come across. The system is f'd up and I say screw the system based on the fact its made by sinful(evil) men. There will always be corruption in government. There are few good men in government. We do have a great leader as president however he is just a man and he does have his faults (as much as the next man).

We are the people that put these leaders(president, etc.) into power based upon our views and opinions, but we are also not pure in nature. I'm not saying that we don't have some valid points but we will never be innocent. We can only do so much as humans.

Nice read, took a minute, not too long.
Yes, communism works on paper. It's like mercantilism except it doesn't work at all. The only possible solutions would be lobotomy and eradication. It's true, democracy get's nothing done. Democracy gives power to the people, but it is still tainted by social class. There can never be dictatorship by the good, the good die all too soon. Age degenerates the brain. The human is never innocent, children can do evil things. They do not understand that is all. Kids have killed other kids because they were angry. Because they don't understand death does that make it ok? I don't think it does, the malice was there. One day maybe we can actually outgrow our instincts of putting ourselves above all. In nature, the only thing animals put above themselves is their children, perhaps if we could grow that instinct for other humans we could build a succesful nation. Democracys are NEVER succesful just for that reason(people are corrupt). What needs to be enforced is the equality of people, not the peoples right to have what they want(for example in real democracy 4 years ago slightly more than half the nation could have voted to kill GW Bush and everyone who voted for him). Communisms are NEVER succesful without a strong binding leader who can get the people to work. Without money there is no incentive to work. Republics can be succesful, not that true republics are common. I think the real prolem is that we do not pick the stance on issues, the candidates do. I think we should vote yes or no on every propostion the candidates have stances on.
