I agree completely with this post. I feel i have a good relationship with my creator. I am comfortable with my beliefs. But i will not strike up a conversation. I will talk about my beliefs and my feelings of what is right and wrong. I will not tell you with out you coming to me first. I will not say ooh thats a sin, or you shouldnt do that or oohh ur going to hell. Im sorry but that is stupid. Christians are not perfect and Christians fall victim to the same temptations as non believers. What I do notice that does bother me about my christian brother is when its come out and preach to you about what you are doing is wrong or you are wrong for not believing in Christ, and then they turn around and not practice their faith. Smoking, drinking, not attending church. That is where the anger comes from the non-believers and where the word hypocrite comes into play. When trying to spread your religion onto other make sure its wanted, and make sure that religion has been spread onto you.

Guys, I have sat by too long. This topic has seriously digressed. This is turning into a religious war which is far more deadly than who beat who in the elections.

This is seriously getting out of control. Yes I do believe in Christ. No, I don't hate Dakilla for being atheist. Every single person is intitled to their own opinion. Not one single person on this planet has any right whatsoever to judge another human being.

Our founding fathers did found this nation on Christianity BUT they realised the problem with disagreeing religious opinions that's why they gave us the freedom of religion and didn't make this a Christian country. True that most people in America are Christian. But it's also true that most of them just use their religious title as an award. How many of you who call yourself Christian live the way Christ would of wanted you to live? I know I sure have fallen short of His will.

True Christians love everybody. So don't bash DaKilla for his views. So he doesn't agree. SO WHAT? That's his opinion. The best way to get anybody to live the way you want them to live is not to belittle them, it's to live by example. If you think you're so much better off than Dakilla than just live your life and show him how happy you really are. If he cares, he'll join. But don't force it on him.

I don't condone Dakilla's remarks, but I have been on these forums a while and I know that Dakilla is a brilliant man with great ideas. Just listen to both sides of things before you shoot it down.

Thanks, Adema. I really thought you would be one of the last people to support me (indirectly support), but I was pleasantly suprised. I agree with all of what you have said, not just because it's about me, but because it makes so much sense. I do apologize for the comments I made, and they stung more than they were meant to, but I must still stand by some of my word.

To everyone here who is religious -- no matter what religion -- I encourage you to keep your faith; you have something I don't. Like I said earlier, I actually like to see people be faithful, to keep hope in times of despair, to keep a strict set of morals. But the single factor that bothers me about religion is when it mixes into the bigger picture, and one religion is seemingly picked over another. All religions exist to teach right and wrong, we can agree on that. So why do all religions insist that the others are wrong? Especially when they all do the same thing, really; they all just use different methods.

I'm sorry if I'm putting more fuel in the fire, but I really want people to understand why I talk and act the way I do. To be misunderstood is the worst failure in life!

its all good killa. as a believer of non beliefs i feel for the most part the same way wich led to my above post.it is sad that in some way someone in every set religion feels the need to justify why there "cause" is the right one and non believers are going to be shunned to hell.thats the only thing that bothers me. see with me i dont even consider myself an athiest.....i am just ME! like ME or not i am who i am and believe what i believe at my own free will.am i right?prolly not but you never know, you cant just go on living and just asume you are.all i can do is live as good as i can without murdering,robbing,etc other people and try and do good things when i can.i can say that although i try i nor anyone else on this earth even comes close to leading that "perfect christian" life some folks preach about.something i learned while in the military is this..

"if you cant believe in yourself then no religion on earth can save you" and with that i try and live as good as i can while standing by my own beliefs.i do not push them on anyone but if asked about them i will gladly give you the reasons why I believe this way.

theres nothing wrong with debates,its when someone HAS to be RIGHT or WRONG that bothers me.just listen,absorb and form your opinion and go on,no need to belittle us "non believers" as im sure most christians label us.

Actually I earned my college degree form The University of Kentucky not my parents so blame them on my mistakes in typing. I have no reason to "save some face". I have no reason to explain myself for your mistakes. I offered a apology for mis-understanding your post and offered a rebuttle for your flaming statements. Again later in life you will understand when some one is trying to have a decent conversation without flaming. Do not come on this forum and start trying to push your way around, it will only prove wrong for you.
