the fastest upload you can get is like 45KB/s. The fastest upload I have ever seen is 110KB/s and that was highly exceptional.

I have a wireless network in my house using the 802.11b standard(11mbps) and have a dsl connection and i get uploads that burst at 250kbps and level off at about at about 175kbps. It's awesome, I have rarely ever had a problem with it. And I am one of the few guys in my clan that never lags or get booted. There a few precautions that you can take to ensure that wireless connection works at top speed. Here are few:
1.)Try not to have a microwave in the direct path of your access point(wireless router) and your bridge. The frequency that the microwave operates at or emits is at the same wavelength that router communicates on. If there is a microwave in the middle the only time you will notice performance issues is when it is in use.
2.)Try not operate your cordless phone on the same channel as the router and bridge operating on. Linksys by default uses channel 6. Most cordless phones come with ability to change channels usually 99 separate channels. There is only a 1 in 99 shot of it landing on the same channel but if it does just change it.
3.)If you live in multiple level house, you want to place access point at the highest possible floor.
4.)If you do notice that you are getting booted or you have to continue to reset your router, make sure you have the latest firmware.
