The problem with all mainstream games is the amount of advertising they do. Every time a game that has been so heavily advertised comes out, the majority of people that get it are going to be sorely disappointed. This is why I don't look forward to any games anymore; if I plan on getting them, I say, "Ok, I'll go get this game." I try not to read too much into the game, or to make up my mind about it before it's released because, in most cases, the game is never as good as advertised.
And that's just the way it is, sadly. I also beleive that Halo 2 will only sell well because of the name it has, whether or not it's a good game people will realize too late. It could be great, but I can bet money that it won't live up to the name marketers give it. The same will most likely be true about Killzone, as it was with Socom 2.
