Being a science teacher, I realized something very important about polls and votes. In order for the poll to be scientifically correct (valid), the voters should state a reason why they voted for or against. I guess I really am just curious as to why someone would vote no. By no means do you have to give a reason because that would breach the point of democracy, but I would really appreciate it if you gave reasons for your negative vote.

i voted "no" because it would be an uncontrolled spam-box. if DaKilla and the mod team is up for it, then go right ahead and make it!!!

If it were as you say an "uncontrolled spam-box" (not sure what exactly that means) then wouldnt it partially solve the problem of all the spam that appears in the "serious" sections of the site? Isn't that a good thing?

If you answer "because people will just raise their post count", please please please tell me why post count matters. YES, I'm sure people try to get their post count up in many many ways. The world is full of useless peons who serve no purpose other than to breathe our air, eat our food, pollute our land, and spam our forums. If post count meant anything then I would be pissed too.

WHY DOES POST COUNT MATTER??? Can ANYONE answer this???

cause i worked my @SS off to get my high post count..... all the 6 months ive been here.... i dont want some new member to be like 700 posts above me when he just joined.... i think post count matters because it shows who you are.... it shows how many posts you have posted.... which shows if you are an active member or not.... like i said, i dont want a new member to pass me up, with garbage posts
