New Idea for ranking system
I know theres probably a post where one can suggest their ideas for a new Ranking System in Socom II. But I didn't really wanna do a search for "Ranking System" on this forum, so I'm just gonna start a new thread:
My idea for a new ranking system is a plus/minus system, like in hockey. When your on the ice and your team gets a goal, you get plus one point. But when your on the ice and the other team scores, you lose a point.
I think this would work in Socom because you wouldn't have to have all of the "Who-beat-Who" chess crap. When you team wins, maybe you would get 5 points. When you lose, you lose 5 points. Maybe a kill would mean one point, and a death would mean losing one point.
Plus when you get on the next day, you rank hasn't gone from a Captain to an ensign because its not basing you perfomance on an average or anything. Also, this is a way to track one's consistency. With the current ranking system, a guy could go on a tear and all of a sudden he's a captain. But then the next day he's back to a LT.
Of course, there would still be morons who cheat their rank up, but who knows if that will EVER go away.
This is just my idea. I didn't give it that much thought, but oh well. Fell free to shoot holes in it. (no pon intended)
