Online ranking "debate"

Say you lose a game, and you don't want to stick around. So, you leave before you get back to the lobby. This really hurts you rank. Especially since the new patches. You can get docked a lot! Also if you win, and the say half of the opposing team leaves. You will proubably only get half of the benefit. Thats assuming the opposing team's high ranked guys and well played characters don't leave. If all of their best players leave, you will wind up with just kills and deaths added to your score, and no points.

someone said something about socom II being ruied for ever....wtf i dont play to have a good rank, i know im a decent player and a picture or a number isnt going to tell me anything else

the rank that matters is that of gamebattles (or anyother ladder site) where your clan plays fairly. After all it is a team game, i find personal ranking defyies the point of socom.

Trust me, give up on rank u have alot more fun, comiting suicide at the end of rounds blowing up hostages etc. Much more fun than running to hide in the corner so u dont die at the last second

i dont know what you are complaning about i keep getting higher in rank and i dont do very well most of the time!! and i DONT do rank up games that is all i have to say about this!!!

I would agree with the f@ck the rank comment. It does no tmatter any more. I have people in my clan that are some of the best players around and their rank is in the 60k because they do not play 15 hours a week! I think that it should be based on everything but the amount of time you play. I am ranked 7000 and I see people near my rank with 2000 more deaths than kills, but because they have 250 hours logged they are given a good rank....lame

i agree. i always get annoyed with people who rant on about their ranks like its the end of the world. the ranking system is still screwed up either way. playing hours dont really determine whether youre good or not. its complete BS.
