does any one use the m16?? I use it all the time because its a perfect mix, especially in Vig, because there's no haze or fog. It take a little practices, but i can pretty much get out as many bullets as the automatics. Plus, absoultely no recoil.

all depends on that map. big open map with good shooting areas i used the biggest badest rifle i can get. closer quarter maps and most jungle maps i grab my sr25sd and usally some thermal to get those guys "hidding" in the bushes. The sasr is also fun on some level but the gun is tuff to get use to.

What I think- Anyone who uses a thermal is somewhat a "noob" sniper. I can't tell you how many times in Mixer I have popped a guy who I thaught was staring right at me...The truth is, they were staring at me, only they were using the thermal. It is funny how both of you are looking at each other, only one can't see the other...I just line up my headshot, pull the trigger, and imagine their dumbass reaction on their face.
I agree with the first post about missing with the M80's will give you away, but I never miss. :P

Ive heard that using thermal scopes reduce the visual range on all guns, is this true and if it is would it still be "nOObish" on there part?....personally I like the thermal and find someone that thinks there hiding in a bush.

Thermal isnt noobish imo. Some levels like sujo, NOT the mixer, umm...uhhh....well maybe even FF, they can be used good, sometimes its hard to see someone in a bush, happened today in Night Stalker, I was lookin in the general direction of the seal sniper, on was on that rock at the terr spawn, anyways i was lookin somewhat near this seal, then I see that red arrow and I hear the rock infront of me get crunched up.
So i get down and tell my teammate left that theres a sniper somewhere I didnt see him, hes like...."oh" BOOM "got him" he was in the bushes right in my scope....I just quickly glanced there and didnt see him, but If i had been actually looking....or if I used thermal he would've been dead.
Thermal can be used good in SOME maps. aha another good one is Requiem (sp?)

I feel this way only on large maps. If they want to use a thermal, use it in small sniping fields...A large field (Mixer) will only let you see half way across the map...If you use a thermal, it is true...you can see people hiding in bushes...but an exellent sniper should see him anyways...
EDIT::::We posted at the same time, so I have to say this...If you were using a thermal, you would not have been able to see that far.

Yea, large maps is nono, smaller maps is sure if you want. Personally I never use thermal, and BTW I've had something happen like that scuba, the guys (Night Stalker) WAY over on that big sniping rock, and me as a terr with my m80 w/o thermal, see's this poor seal on this rock, The seal is looking directly at me, I panicked and shot, I missed even tho my crosshairs were on him :? and there he is lookin at me still....I line up my next shot and shoot him and he dies.
I ask him in game lobby I said who was that sniper on the seal rock that last round? Some dude answers, Im like....why didnt you snipe me You werre lookin directly at me. He says "oh....I didnt know you were there I couldnt see you" -me- "heh...thermal?" -dudewhousedthermal- " yea..."
