New Guitar Time

Alright, I'm in the market to get a new guitar soon, not something too, too expensive around $300-$400 CDN. I'm looking for something that is better then my Epiphone Les Paul Special II, which is pretty much any guitar you can get at a professional store. The Catch is that I am left handed, it narrows down my choices quite a bit. So does anyone know of any good guitars that I can order left handed? I play rock I guess (Coheed and Cambria, Rush, Iron Maiden) and am working on learning some Protest the Hero(It's going to take forever but so so worth it)

Here's what I'm considering so far:
Buy Epiphone Les Paul Standard Left Handed Electric Guitar at Musician's Friend
Buy Epiphone Tony Iommi Signature G-400 Guitar Left-Handed at Musician's Friend
Does anyone have any sites that I should check out?
If Gaskell Guitars will let me finance then hands down I am getting their Classic (Explorer) as it is the best left handed one on the market.

Oh I play rhythm guitar as well so all my parts for Protest the Hero will be Tim's which for the most part is easier then Luke's

Depending on how quick you're wanting to get the guitar. Order a catalog from Musician's Friend if you haven't already. The catalogues that they've been sending me lately has Blow-Out Sales going on that aren't currently listed online. You might see the guitar you're wanting for $ 50 - $100 Dollars less.

You can get much better guitars for your money than Epiphone. I really think you should go to guitar center and honestly play every guitar they have there. That will be the only way you can find the perfect guitar.

Get a G-400 with EMGs from musician's friend. They're on clearance, and because it's an SG, you can swap the strings no problem.

And, it's a nice looking guitar.

Naw, all the knobs and the switches are so inconveniently placed that way.

I've made up my mind, I'm getting a Dillion DR500, its like a PRS Copy but from what I heard is a great guitar.

Thanks to ebay I'm torn between two right now:
This one is cheaper, pretty much mint and I like the finish better, but shipping is $60 and I don't even want to think of customs cost.


This one on the other hand is a bit more expensive, has a few slight scratches, don't know the shipping cost yet, but is from a Canadian seller so there would be no customs, and no tax as it is a private sale, and not business.

OR


If shipping is the same for both, I probably going to go for the first one as it gives me a little more time to get the money together and I prefer it over the second one.

I also suggest looking into Agile guitars. They make a lot of copy guitars, but there higher end ones are very good quality and are better than some of the 1000 dollar gibsons you find that are very poorly made. Im not trying to advertise. Some of those are ridiculously cheap. How in the **** could you trust those?
