My video game addiction is fading

For the fast few months every game i have recieved from gamefly i sent it back within a day, everytime i played a video game the most i would stay on it is 13 minutes or less, even new games.

I don't know what to do :( i feel like i'm losing interest in video games, but i want to continue video gaming because thats all i'm good at :/

Anyone have any ideas what can be happening, or maybe suggestions to get me video gaming again :'(

Studies have shown that ridiculous avatars on video game forums can have a negative effect on ones interest in video gaming.

I would try changing it and see what happens.

First I'd like to say; I smell a bag of bullsh*t. 13 minutes? Seriously? Where in the hell does that random number come from?

Second; Get good at something else. It isn't hard to find a new hobby. Sports, guitar, drums, macking on bitches, there's something else out there for you.

I feel ya buddy. I can't force myself to sit down and play anything anymore. Mostly because I never have any time in my life to just sit down and play but also I just completely lost interest. I'll put in GTA 4 and immediately be bored of it. I'll do a mission and sometimes not even wanna finish it before I shut it off and find something better to do. It isn't even that I don't like the games that I have, I just don't ever feel like playing them.

I dont have alot of emphasis on gaming myself. I dont know that its a matter of "good" games recently. Maybe there hasnt been any great games. I think the economy might contribute. I dont know about you guys but I seem to be working much harder then before to be behind all the time in my bills. Much of the time I am 2 tired to play. Although it seems like that would be the best time to do so. And I mean It's cheap entertainment after you purchase the game. I think that the Next or as I call it the NEWEST generation of consoles have let me down. Its not that it hasnt been an improvement over the last, it just seems that the improvement hasnt outweighed the price. In a time when money seems harder to come by I want maximum game play. That being said I do think some titles have delivered. The last game I can think of doing so was Oblivion IMO. I have been a gamer since I was 5 being that I am 30 now that means I have been gaming for 25 years. I dont know exactly what it is but videogames havent been as addicting. My assumption is the economy as stated before. Please no You are just old replies. It may offend the people who are old on here I.E. Negative LOL

My gaming addiction will never go away. If I'm not playing multiple games on multiple consoles I'll at least be addicted to one game on one console in the long run. The only time my lust for gaming has gone away was when I fought in The Great Vagina War when I was at the age of 16 -25. Now everything has a nice balance to it and I also have a productive hobby of making music on the side that will never go away.
