My video game addiction is fading

I used to be a good skateboarder a few years back, but then i got injured, now everytime i try to step on it i lose my balance and fall off.

i've tryed getting onto the baseball team in my high school twice but i never made it, even though i was a good pitcher, they said they had enough pitchers and catchers and needed better batters.

I'm horrible at basketball and soccer as well as football, i cant even throw a football

tbh i feel like i'd rather lay in bed all day then pick up the game controller and play O.O

Same thing has been happening to me. I have little or no interest in playing video games. The only games I have gotten this past year were Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, and GTA IV. I stopped playing Halo 3 in late December, and completely lost interest. Guitar Hero I only put on every once in a while and play like 3 or 4 songs then shut it down. GTA I was addicted to, for like a week, then lost interest and actually stopped playing for a good month before I picked up the controller again.

Just have other things to do these days. I work pretty much all day then I feel like going out rather than staying in and playing video games. The only thing that sparked my interest again was when I saw Socom:Confrontation gameplay footage. It made me pick up my PS2 controller and play some socom again. Only problem is, I don't have a PS3 and 400 bucks plus the Socom bundle (my mic sucks) will bring it to 500 bucks. Thats a lot of money for one game. I doubt I will ever have interest in playing another PS3 game seriously.

thats the last game i've played, which was a few weeks back, i just cant seem to get back on it >.< and i really like that game alot

maybe libertine is right, i usually game alot during the winter anyway.

I think a lot of the game this year have been over hyped. Not that they have been under impressive (is that a word?), they just haven't had the constant amazement we used to get out of previous games.

GTAIV; I was excited about that game since I first heard the first bit of solid information about it. I got in at launch, played it for a month, now it's collecting dust. Every single GTA game before it has kept me playing for months upon months.

When I buy a game, I play it until the next big title comes out. 2008 for me should have been Cod4 to GTAIV to Confrontation to Motorstorm 2 which would have taken me well into '09 ready for more games. However, it's been COD4 to GTAIV to boredom, would rather cut my **** off with a rusty butter knife than pick a controller up and play it anymore. I doubt I will really care about gaming like I used to until SOCOM is released.

If you want to get back into gaming, I would just go out and buy a new game each week. That way, you may just be entertained until October.
