Impeach?

Something happened yesterday that didn't a whole lot of media mention; Rep. Dennis Kucinich introduced a resolution to the House of Representatives, calling for the impeachment of Bush.

MSNBC's got a poll up asking public opinion. At the time I took it 89% of 671,390 people voted yes.

It's still at 89% and I helped with the "Yes" votes.

I know it wont happen and it's kind of pointless now but I voted "Yes" anyway. If this came up months ago then something might of actually been done about it.

I think it's something along the lines of taking the president to trial and possibly removing him from office. Not sure about the trial part all I know is that it could lead to the president being removed.

Man this is ridiculous, sounds like someone is trying to stir up some crap to get national attention. This is like kicking a dead horse. Bush is done and on his way out anyways. This is about as bad as the star report on Clinton's impeachment crap. **** like this gives politicians an even worse public image. Makes me think a bowl of fecal matter has more morals and likability then anyone in Washington...

It would never happen while he's in office. There would be so much finger pointing on both sides that I wouldn't want him to be impeached anymore.
But seriously, with all the indictments, accusations, scandals ,resignations, and mishandling under this guy's watch . I think they went after Milhous for less. At least they should make him walk through the French Quarter naked with his thumb in his mouth.

It doesn't matter if he will be impeached or not. He's already done the damage he'll do. And to think, Clinton was impeached for lying about having an affair, though lying to Congress about anything is sort of bad. But, how many times do you think Bush has lied to the public, the government (all branches, all sub-branches, etc.), and the military? But, at least someone finally had the balls to propose the idea, no matter how useless it is since he's getting out in seven months (or eight, can't remember when new president takes over).

Bill Clintons impeachment was acquitted by the Senate though which is why he was able to finish off his term in office.

So after the American people elect him to two terms in office we want him impeached. Everyone acts like he's the worst president we've ever had in our countries history.

But as many others have said this poll is useless. He's 2nd term is up in 5 months or so. He hasn't done anything illegal (that we know of) so might as well just let him stay in office until Nov. 3rd comes.

This is pathetic...they wait until now in order to bring on the idea of impeachment? Sounds like the Republican Party is just trying to shout "Look at us, see we're good guys trying to do the right thing for the people." This is nothing but an attempt to elevate the Republican Party and allow for the entry of John McCain come November.
