Get ready for the 80s nerd-gasm...
So, I pull up eBay today to check a message, and there it is on the front freakin page; Airwolf.

Not the Airwolf, but a non-operational replica of it. Apparently it's been in some museum in TN, and they're selling it.

Man, as a kid Airwolf was awesome. I used to watch that and The A-Team out the azz. It was like Knight Rider without all the pussification and chest hair. Because of that show I've always had the aspiration of being a helicopter pilot.

Airwolf got its inspiration from a movie with Roy Scheider called Blue Thunder.
Jan Michael Vincent - sure did take one serious fall from his career. I used to watch Airwolf to. I don't think a majority of the members here remember that show.

I've seen Blue Thunder, but I was never sure which one came first.

And Omega was 6, age doesn't mean that I didn't watch the show and loved it. I believe I'm going to make a poll of the best 80's shows.

Awesome idea. Make sure "What's Happening?" is on that list. Oooh, and The Muppet Show & Fraggle Rock.

Damn, so many good shows in that era. I know your pick though, Mike. Something tells me you were a sucker for Charles In Charge.

It was a great show. As a white Irish kid growing up in an all-black neighborhood, I think watching it helped keep me from getting my *** beat routinely.

Airwolf was pretty good and so was the A-Team. Definitely a cool one-two punch.

Is Blue Thunder as good now as it was back then? I remember that being one of my favorite movies as well as being one of the first movies my dad taped on our highly sophisticated state of the art video cassette recorder. Of course he still has all the original tapes he made. I believe Michael Jackson's ultra long version of Thriller is on the same tape. Email me for copies :)

While we're on the topic, I realize this thread is about the eighties, but for all the over 30 crew here, check out the early seasons of the Muppet Show (1-3 available) as well as Sesame Street Old School volumes 1 and 2. Get in the right frame of mind and you'll be amazed how awesome these shows were.
