Same for England with the plates.

The back one has to be a yellow-ish reflective color, the front ones are usually white and but not as reflective.

Florida is just the back though.

I haven't got a car, can't even drive here. I feel like a noob again.

Not only are they in the back, but Florida also has dozens of customized plates that you can get. Most go to donations for health and environmental causes.
I have a Tampa Bay Buccaneer License Plate on the back of my truck and a Buc flag emblem plate on the front. When I left Jersey years ago there was the yellow plate or the blue plate and that was it.

Yea, one of my friends had (or still has?) a dolphin society one or something. It's from when his parents owned the car.

I still have the one we had on our trailer in my bedroom, it's just a bog standard run of the mill Florida one with myflorida.com on it I think.

I thought every state could get plates like that ('customised' ones), I knew some required plates front and back though. Here, our plates are really long and the police are really really arsey about them been clear and almost perfect.

Some people have started putting a coating over their plates which make them invisible to cameras although this is unnoticeable to the human eye. The screws which hold the plate on in a stupid place which can also make certain characters look like others.

Also, plates here stay with the car rather than the person. Our plate here just has a sticker on it advertising the car dealership we bought it from.

I guess this thread is good for my question.

I'm looking to get a nice CD player in my car, more specifically, this player. But it's much too small to fit in my car without any kind of support. I'm driving a 99 Malibu, so for those not familiar with the center console, here is a picture.

My question is what should I do for support? I'm not entirely sure what the dimensions are for the radio slot, but I do know it's bigger than 2 inches by 7 inches (which are the dimensions of the CD player I'm looking at). Would it be as simple as going to Home Depot and getting some supplies or would I need a custom mount from Chevy?

I'm also not entirely sure on what plugs I have in my car and if they'd be the right ones. But I guess that's why I'm asking.

As for other car mods, I don't have any, but I do know someone that put a completely different audio system in his VW Bug. He was planning to put in a turbo and a bottle of Nos last summer but I don't know if he ever did.

Does anyone know where I can find those Bazooka Bass systems? They're a long tube-shaped bass (primarily for awkward areas like behind the bench seat of a truck. I would like to add one to mine, but I don't know much about them or any good companies that sell them.

If you're unsure on how to install the radio and if Walmart doesn't do it then take it to Bestbuy or Circuit City and they'll install it for you.

If the radio is different dimensions than what the slot you're factory radio is then you'll need a mount to replace the whole panel and those stores have them.

I never was appealed to the lets see who can thump the loudest. Just get some quality speakers and a good head unit, thats all you need.

You have to buy an installation kit if you wanna do it yourself, or like previously mentioned take it to a pro (whomever). I would suggest not getting that cd receiver though, buy something quality. You want something that is gonna be worth the money, even if you spend extra. Me, personally, I would never run anything but Alpine for a receiver (I've tried a lot and use to work installing car audio, they are the best, imho), but, any other halfway decent name brand receiver is just as adequate (#2:Kenwood, #3 Pioneer).

I would suggest getting a 8" or 10" (possibly even 12" depending on what you want) box over a bass tube. You can run a better speaker, that still will not break the bank. Then throw in a decent mono amp (personally, I'm a huge fan of JBL amps, they're so underrated, but by far probably some of the best amps per dollar as well as quality vs others twice to three times the cost). It may cost a little more, but in the end, you will be much more pleased, also, I do believe that the bass tubes use paper cones and foam surrounds (a big no-no to me). You want something that has at least a butyl rubber surround for longevity as well as sound quality.

No no no. You got me all wrong. I HATE those kind of people as well. I just want a simple subwoofer that can handle the bass while the speakers handle everything else. I'm just trying to increase the life of my speakers (which are Pioneers) and improve the sound quality overall. I don't listen to rap or hip-hop, so it wouldn't sound ridiculous anyways. I just want a nice, clean and crisp sound to my music.

I bought the 8" subwoofer with a 50watt internal amp. My friend helped me do a half-assed hookup to see how it sounded and we got it to work for a minute before it stopped from needing more power (we just tapped into the fuse panel). It was pretty decent considering its size and price (only about $110). But today we are gonna finish installing it.

I wish I could have gotten the 6" because this one barely fits behind my bench seat. I have to move my seat forward about a half an inch and I feel extremely close to the steering wheel now. I might be getting another amp, but it will be something simple with only about 150watts. My friend is really big on sound systems and he has a bunch laying around.
