Well sublime, I welcome you to Long Island- where there are only the following things you can do: Play pool, Go to the gym, Go to the Movies, Go to the beach, go to parties and drink, and Go to the Mall (Roosevelt field, smith haven, Broadway in Hicksville, DONT GO TO GREEN ACRES YOU WILL BE SHOT)
Now, let me give you some advice. Get out of the bank, you're working with people that are too old for you and giving yourself absolutely no shot in meeting people your own age to hang out with thus stifiling your summer. And if girls do come in, they are there to get in and get out bc they have places to go.
If you're interested in meeting people, Lifeguarding and being a waiter is where it's at. Pre and I have been one for nassau county since we were 18 (I am now 23 and pre is 21)- And I was 150lbs, 5' 10"- skinny timid kid. Only a few weeks in, I became extremely comfortable and gained a better awareness for girls BECAUSE 75% of a lifeguard staff tends to be girls and you're required to interact with them on a minute to minute basis. Plus, I got more *** than I can count over the past 5 years because what better than to meet girls when they and you are almost naked-no joke. After you swim, your muscles get flared up, chicks just wanna pounce. (Pre experienced that "hands on"- if you know what i sayin', ya know?

Plus, Lifeguard parties are the greatest things on earth! Look up on youtube "Flaming Hoop of Death". That'll give you a taste for what you could experience. I am the guy who constructed and lit the hoop with my blowtorch so the rookie at my beach could jump through a flaming hoop as his talent at the "Rookie Talent Show". There are 20 something parties held each summer county wide and all pools/beaches are invited.
In addition, as a lifeguard, you get paid in the top 5% of the nations youth as far as per hour wages (Pre and I will be getting in the neighborhoood of $13/hr @ 48 hour weeks). And requirements aren't hard- you do a course-take a test- that's it. PM me if youre interested!
As a waiter on Long Island, you will only get $7/hr. However, you easily make up for that in tips. On LI, you will get roughly 15-19% of your customers bill as a tip- as well as working with a staff that will be at least 60% female and you meet 100s of people per week.
And the key thing you need to understand about Long Island, EVERYTHING...aahem allow me to repeat myself...EVERYTHING IS 20 MINUTES FROM WHERE EVER YOU LIVE...no joke...
Plenty of opportunites dude. At 18, just chillax. My philosophy is this, If it comes along great, but If not no big deal. Ive been a worrierer my entire life that everything wont work out and I'll give you a hint: Dont worry buddy, everything will be ok.
