Help Finding Kung-Fu Movie Name.

I'd probably need Lu Feng for this one but he's not around too often. It was either late 80's or early 90's Shaolin movie with Jackie Chan and Jet Li as the two leads.

The main story of the movie is that they were fellow Monks together that were thrown out. Jet Li needed work and ended up working for a Chinese gang type thing as the main bodyguard of the boss guy. Jackie Chan wanted to stay a good guy, practice Shaolin Kung Fu and try to get back in the ministry. The middle of the movie is basically the gang terrorizing a town and Jackie Chan with a few fellow martial arts people that work in a low budget restaurant fighting back. Towards the end of the movie, Jackie fights a bunch of dudes then the temple starts burning down with Jackie and Jet Li fighting on top of multiple bamboo sticks. Jackie ends up winning and knocking Jet Li into the fire even though Jackie didn't even want to fight Jet, but he wanted to turn him back to the "light side."

Oh yeah, the whole movie is subtitled I think. Either that or dubbed over.

That's the basics of the movie if you can understand it. I was just kind of typing but if anyone can help me out, that would be awesome. I've been trying to find this movie forever and I can't even find it on IMDB.

I searched both of their filmographies and the only time both names appeared on a movie was the upcoming movie, "The Forbidden Kingdom".

You sure it was the two of them mOB?

I'm pretty sure, I could be wrong because it's been a long time since I've seen the movie but it's kind of easy recognizing the two of them.

I know for a FACT Jackie Chan was one of the characters.

I looked through multiple websites and they weren't in any other movies together other than the one Bamf said.

I never knew Jet Li was active in films back then. I thought his first movie role was in Lethal Weapon 4. What a great movie... gripping... epic.

Jet Li and Jackie Chan were never together until The Forbidden Kingdom, the new movie that releases in a few days as Bamf said... Since I've seen 1/2 of Jackie Chan's movies... I'm not really sure but here's a list that you might find it...

1. Tai Chi Master (Which the story is almost the same as yours but there's no fire stuff and there was a scene when Jet Li and Chin Siu Ho fought together with Broad sword, not staff). I think that's the closest one I've found...

2. Iron Monkey which this movie features Donnie Yen, Yu Rong Guang... This movie ends up with a fight between the "government" vs. Iron Monkey and Wong Kei Ying. The ground was on fire while the 2 fighters fought together to beat the government.

I think that's it. If you could remember more, please post it. I've got 75% of Jet Li's movies including his first movie Shaolin Temple 1,2,3, Legend of the red Dragon aka The new legend of shaolin, Fong Sai Yuk aka The Legend, Hitman. I couldn't name it all but I've seen most of his movies, much more than Jackie Chan since this guy made so many good classics like Drunken Master, Snake in The Eagle Shadow, Fearless Hyena, his stunt double in Bruce Lee's Fist of fury, Police story 1,2,3,4, new police story... Ah! Too much good movies.

If you need more help, just tell me. I'm a Kung Fu flix fan.

No, this movie is still a mystery to me. When it was shown on Spike TV I meant to go online and look up the name of the movie but I think through a series of unfortunate events my internet was also down for a long time then.

I'm just going to search through Jet Li movies because I'm pretty positive he was one of the actors in this movie.

Hmm, then you must be mistaken because I've seen 9/10 of jet li's movies except High Risk and Dr Wai In The Scripture with no words and the closest movie I've seen is Tai Chi Master or Twin Warriors in USA.
