Wow, I'm an angry little man, aren't I.

Lately, I've been getting angry at the news in the morning (Today Show, Early Today, etc.) for the stupid stories they've been airing. Just a few days ago, they aired the story about the "tragic" death of a cheerleader (who just happens to be white and had blonde hair) during plastic surgery. When I saw this, I was saying to myself (out loud) "What the F**K!!!!". Haven't we already heard about this. And, if not, why did it take them so long to get a story about it. I'll tell you why. It's not because this sort of thing is rare (which it is), it's because they had to find the most tragic story that would appeal to their largest viewer pool (white people).

A couple of weeks ago (two of three), Today had a story about a kid in elementary who didn't speak, not because he was deaf or a mute, but because he was bullied so much that he was afraid to speak or go outside and socialize. He also didn't have friends. Well, this again makes me say "what the hell man". This really isn't the first time this has happened (trust me, I know personally how he feels), and it won't be the last. The story itself didn't piss me off too much, but the way they presented it did. The parents were talking about how they're so worried that their son will become suicidal or something if he doesn't stop getting bullied or doesn't get some friends. What makes this even worse is that they always suggested the same thing that they have for years: tell an adult. Well, you know what that does? Absolutely NOTHING! All it does is tip off the kids who are being a**holes that they're getting to the kid, so now they'll do it more to get a rise out of him and to punish him for telling on them.

Last week, there was a story on Today about how modern-day families are totally "wired" (meaning they have a lot of electronic distractions). Now, why would I put this in the Ridiculous Box? Well, they've had similar stories in the past. How to spend more time with your kids; Regulating the time kids spend with games; Helping your child in school. So, even though it's not extremely ridiculous or stupid, it's just annoying. Who cares if you as a parent aren't spending time with your kids because you bought them a game system/computer/cell phone. Here's a fool-proof solution, so revolutionary that Stephen Hawkings would yell "HOLY S**T!". Take it away. Yep, it's that simple. Just take whatever it is that they are so attatched to and put it somewhere that they can't get to it. Then, put them into your car that doesn't have the built-in DVD player and go for a drive through nowhere, and talk to your kids. If they don't want to talk, so what. If they complain, threaten them with an even longer time away from their stuff or even say you'll sell it. And, if none of this works, oh well. You'll always have your friends there to help you (alcohol and [insert something here]).

How can you find repetitive stories like that annoying, but not the repetitive stories about global warming, oil, Iraq, economy, Britney Spears, and other crap like that?

People complain when they see Iraq or celebrity stories on the news every day, but then complain when something different crops up. I'm not getting at you or saying you should have no right to be annoyed, but just don't watch the news.

While on the subject of news, I started watching the news every morning before college, but I used to end up going out of the house with steam coming out of my ears because I was tired of seeing stories about immigration, 7 year old kids who didn't come home last night, or some crap about politics. I had to stop watching the new because I would just go to college and rant about it all day.

Another ridiculous thing in life is car and house alarms. How many people can honestly say they actually call the police or go to check on a neighbour's property when they hear an alarm? I know I get pissed off and become very tempted to call Environmental Health who will come out and cut the wires of the alarm after an hour if it's going all day or night. There used to be a time when people heard an alarm and went to make sure everything was ok, now it just pisses us off..... why do we have them?!

Just buy a dog, and it will alert you if someone is breaking in at night. Someone breaks into your house in the day, doesn't matter if you have an alarm or a guard fish, they will probably still take stuff.

I do get annoyed at the stories about Iraq etc. etc., but not as much as those. When the ones about Iraq come one, I usually say what I have to say while it's airing, and I'm done. But with the ones I posted, that just wasn't enough. Besides, I'm bored early in the morning. Between 4:50 a.m. and 6:25 a.m. (time I wake up and time I go to my bus stop), there's usually nothing good on, so I turn on the news for about five minutes, then go back downstairs and get on the computer. Yeah, I have no life, lolz.

Another annoying thing that I am surprised didn't get mentioned( or I was careless reading up to this post) is the election news about hilary and obama's little mudslinging ********. I think it is ridiculous that the democrats had such an advantage this time because of bush, and now they are being so immature and distasteful that some democrats are saying they would rather vote republican. wow. wow is alll I have to say about that.

on a side note I am very happy about hilary's recent fail, I can sleep soundly at night knowing she will not be our next president.

I hate the girls that are ridiculously into women's rights. They need to be superior to men. One girl in my Spanish class last year was like this. Every time I'd say "Don't be such a girl" she would flip ****. I'm so sick of females that think they will put themselves ahead of men, then when we do the same, it's sexist. They want equality, they will get equality. That means I don't have to watch what I say in front of girls, I don't have to hold the door open for them, or help them when they drop ****. If I slap a guy's ***, it isn't sexual harassment. If I touch a girl, it's sexual harassment. If they truly want equality, I will treat them the same as I treat my guy friends.

I hate people who can't laugh at themselves. They have no sense of humor. They are offended by everything you say. I just want to kill these people. I want to strangle them until their eyeballs explode because they can't breathe. ****in' learn to laugh at yourself! If you can't then you might as well kill yourself. Because no one, NO one, can go through a day without making fun of someone else. ****, if you're going to bust on people for being different, learn to do it to yourself. I'm lanky and wear tight jeans. I say that I have the physique of a spider monkey. I can call my self gay. And I am able to laugh at my outer appearance. This one girl I know, makes fat jokes about herself all the time. I said one fat joke, she, and all of her friends flip **** at me. Learn to laugh at yourself. Because God dealt you these cards, and you have to cope with them somehow.

BLACK people. Everyone knows someone who is an Afro-American. Everyone knows the BLACK people. I mean these are the ignorant people (not just blacks, it's all races) who think they own everything. I live in a community full of ignorant gangsters who think they are better than everyone. I primarily encounter these arrogant *******s when I'm in gym class. One who is a star wide receiver on the high school football team tries to control everyone. We were playing ultimate frisby, and he suddenly became the captain. He told everyone where to go, who to throw it to, then he'd be the one man team. When he would finally realize he wasn't the only person on the team, he'd throw it about 20 feet over your head, then yell at you for not catching it. Another one was in my gym class playing volleyball. He told our entire team what positions to play, then when the other team served the ball, he would run into our spots and push us out of the way and falcon punch the ball as hard as he could, often ****ing up. The one time that the ball came near me, I just stood there. He looked at me and said "Why weren't you on that?" My response: "Sorry captain awesome, I thought you were still oblivious to everyone else's existence and were going to run in and save the day." And that same day, with the *** **** on the other team, we scored multiple times. Instead of just lobbing the volleyball over the net to me so I could serve again, he throws the ball as hard as he can. It hits the back wall and bounces back to him. I told him that he needs to calm down, which was met with an immediate, "Suck my ****!" Another one of these kids is in my study hall. Every time I walk by him, he will often make a ***** *** gangster comment about my pants. "Yo your pants are tight as ****." I don't care. But what bothers me so much about this is that he isn't being open to difference. He's being a close minded *****. You may be reading this and thinking "Kevin hates gangsters." No. I hate ignorant *******s who aren't open to diversity and are control freaks. I'm friends with gangster kids and black kids.

Yeah, so there's only two. So what? I can't think of any other good ones that aren't obvious (even though the ones I did use are).

A**hole fathers. Everyone has stories about them, even if it's not true. Some of these fathers blame their a**holeness on their fathers, but that's no excuse. In fact, it should be inspiration to not be a d**k. You would think that they would say to themselves, "Hey, my dad was a jerk. Maybe I should be nice to my kids, or at least not be a jerk." But no, most of these guys are exactly the same or even worse, and they blame it on their parents for raising them badly. It's YOUR fault that you're being a d**k, not your parents.

Gangsta's (black, white, purple, etc.). I'm sick and tired of hearing these people talk. They are a disgrace to the human race (oooh, rhyme). I know this one black kid, he's on the honor role and he's overall a good student and pretty literate. But, he believes that just because he is black, he needs to act and talk and write a certain way. He goes around saying, "Yo, homie, where my ni**a's at, son? Where my dawgs, man." around his friends to impress them and others. But when he's alone or near people he doesn't know, he speaks "white", "Hi, how are you? Have you seen my friends?" But, he's not the only one. A couple years ago, I was eating my lunch and I was listening to music. Well, this black guy comes over and asks me if I have any rap on that s**t. I say no, I hate rap. Well, he says what is possibly the most ret**ded thing I have ever heard, "F**kin' racist." Yep. I was called racist for not liking rap.

Well cough medications are because of the codeine in them. Anything with Codeine in it is a part of the Controlled Substance Act. Over the counter cough medicines are schedule 5, but higher doses can be schedule 2 or 3. It's a fairly serious drug when abused.

I believe the disussion is of over the counter meds. Only a very few prescriptions for cough contain codeine. Codeine is usually used for pain.

It is a discussion of over the counter meds, and you can recieve medicine with Codeine in it without a prescription. There are just certain stipulations, and I'm sure state laws vary as well.

Also I'd think Codeine is used more for cough and diarrhea than pain, considering it's far more regulated when it's for pain.
