Unfortunatly (sp?), there is no self-defense law in New Jersey. We think that he will get out of the muder charges, however, the jury won't be sympathetic when they hear he was dealing drugs.
I heard more stuff today:
that he actually crushed up animal hormones and sold it to the kid. Who later came back with 5 friends, all armed with brass knuckles and one had the knife. The kid with the knife went at "ted" and he took it away from him. "Ted" was backing off with the knife in front of him like "Yo, back off or I'm gonna have to stab you." and the kid who got the crushed up animal hormones went at ted to punch him and ended up running into the knife. It's really really sad. All this happened over drugs.

Capitalise that I in "irish". That'll put you right.
Cutting coke with sugar? Thats pretty decent actually, its much better than some of the stuff they cut drugs with. I tagged along with the PSNI on a drug raid a few months back and the dealers, RIRA men, were beefing up the heroin with, among many many unpleasant things, the powder from decades old fire extinguishers. It looked like it was radioactive. And people pay for that stuff. Unlucky.

why would they do that, they could potentially kill that person, and in their interest, they should keep their customers alive right? kinda stupid, cut it with sugar.
this is why i would never do drugs, i don't trust people.

... and not because it can potentially turn your life into a piece of crap?
I have never done drugs in my life and have never even had the urge to take them. plenty of people have offered me them, but I have the sense and self worth to say no.
It is getting increasingly dangerous in the drug world for many reasons, being killed by fellow criminals seems to be an occupational hazard for drug users.

That makes no sense... so if I was in New Jersey and someone threatened my life, I would probably be better off letting him kill me than try and fend for myself and wind up getting charged?
I thought self-defense applys nationally...

You can substitute ANYTHING instead of "drugs" and it will apply to both innocence as well as horrific. I have done plenty and plenty and plenty of certain drugs in my lifetime and I consider myself a fairly positive member of society. I even have a believe it or not respectable job where hundreds of people depend on me on a daily basis. You can say what you want about anything you don't agree with, but just know that drugs for some CAN be fun and NOT interfere with a productive life.
I'm sure there are some people out there who listen to hip-hop and don't own an illegal firearm. I'm sure there is a "person of dark color" who does not care for fried chicken. There could even be an asian person who is allergic to rice. Imagine that there is also an irish kid with a decent size schlong.
Society is full of scum and always will be. Just try to remember that stereotypes will also exist and they are never 100% accurate. Now that I said what I had to say, why don't you go pop pimples and whack off in mom's basement before your sister gets home from soccer practice.
And as for the statement that drugs are the cause for violence, blame all the fat white slobs who are pocketing millions of dollars every year from the funds that are supposed to keep America drug free. If drugs were legal, the violence would end. The drugs could be taxed, monitored, and all the money wasted on our drug defense could go towards something more productive. Our government brings the violence on ourselves. And please don't say that this will encourage drug use. If someone wants something in this country, someone gets something. Law means nothing in this case.
It sickens me to think that so much money is spent keeping harmless potheads behind bars while I have proven sex offenders living in my neighborhood.
I can't type anymore. I forgot what the topic was even about. I need some
Let me rephrase that......I would LIKE some
"Need" makes it sound "unfun"

Thanks boba, I needed someone to type that all out so I didn't have to argue. You're right on target when you said he's stereotyping all drug users into a crazy maniacal drug abusing murderer.
Likuid, you gave like the worst possible scenarios that could happen. A person going so far as to rob someone for cash for drugs, harming anyone in their way? People ODing? How often does this actually happen? I can tell you that most of my friends (that do drugs) are the most peaceful people you'd ever meet. They enjoy their lives, and don't go crazy and "abuse" drugs. If you actually give something a chance before you knock it, you can see how mind-changing it actually is. Not mind-changing in a bad sense, but showing you how some things that are considered horrible in today's society are really not a big deal. I can tell you right now that the first few times I smoked pot I was like "This is it?". Hell yeah, it's fun, but my friends made such a big deal of it at the time that I was surprised at my ability to still function normally. Whatever, all I have to say is that if there is one thing high school has taught me, it is that you shouldn't knock anything until you try it. I will most likely never do any hardcore drugs, but that doesn't mean I would think poorly of anyone who shoots up heroin or takes acid or whatever. People need to stop being so damn close-minded. It is really hard to argue drugs with people who have no knowledge of it.

I said people who abuse drugs. Read it.

Thank you for misunderstanding me.
I'm talking about people who ABUSE drugs, and are totally addicted. Just about everybody I know excluding my family does some sort of drug (they don't necessarily abuse them), and they are cool people. Why? Not because they do drugs, I can tell you that.
My father has done plenty of messed up things, and I have seen what they can do. I'm lucky to still have him. I have tried marijuana, which you might consider nothing, but that's not the point. I tried it, and I don't like it. I don't rely on some stupid health-decaying, mind-altering drug to keep me entertained and feeling good.
By the way, all it takes is that one chance to f*** up your life. No thanks.

If someone wants to smoke weed until they can't see straight or drink until they can't stand or take pills so they can't feel pain or take acid to have a nice journey let them, its their life if they wanna **** it up who am I to judge.
However if they decide to go drive while drunk or high or go steal **** from others to buy a fix then they should be taken out back and put down like a rabid dog. When they affect others thats when **** needs to stop.
