What's hilarious about this is that I've been doing voice impressions of Mr. Mackey -- especially his "Mmmkay?" -- for a while, cracking up my friends.

Thank you for misunderstanding me.
I'm talking about people who ABUSE drugs, and are totally addicted. Just about everybody I know excluding my family does some sort of drug (they don't necessarily abuse them), and they are cool people. Why? Not because they do drugs, I can tell you that.
My father has done plenty of messed up things, and I have seen what they can do. I'm lucky to still have him. I have tried marijuana, which you might consider nothing, but that's not the point. I tried it, and I don't like it. I don't rely on some stupid health-decaying, mind-altering drug to keep me entertained and feeling good.
By the way, all it takes is that one chance to f*** up your life. No thanks.

I mistook you for BoyEngland who said "druggies dont deserve life". My bad for arguing with the wrong person. Didn't notice you're talking about abusers. People who do them casually or even could be stoners are still fine though. If people can use drugs on a daily basis without becoming a hateful or useless person, then by all means go ahead. Many of my friends hit a bowl every day before school. They are still the way they always were, and I don't consider it abuse.
And btw- maryjane really doesn't hurt your health that much depending on how often you use it. If you vaporize it, then barely anything is hurting you (or nothing at all?) But other than that all that hurts you is the smokeand tar and stuff. I dunno, I just feel that every once in a while can't really hurt you. I do it pretty often anyway, since I smoke cigarettes too. whatev

Ah, okay. I pretty much agree with what you're saying. =P
I've read studies done on how marijuana can affect a person compared to how cigarettes can, and the studies seemed to show that marijuana was far worse. Not all aspects, but just how they damage a person's lungs. That's all I've read about.

But cigarettes are something that (usually) people smoke a few of every day. Plus it is addicting. Marijuana is more expensive and not addicting, so it wouldn't hurt you as much depending on how often you smoke it. (Or how much you can afford)

In Jersey if some one breaks into your house and you shot him and not kill him he can sue you and you will most likely lose. They say its better to kill the guy because then he can't sue.

Well not totally true the guy was breaking and entering and the home owner can claim he was in fear of his life which means he could use lethal force. A jury would see his side. Now if the guy broke in and tryed to run away and you shot his knees out then you might be in a bit of trouble.
End of story really if someone trys to mug/rob you just give them what they want and run.

One of my heroes, the late, great Hunter S. Thompson said it best:
One of the things you learn, after years of dealing with drug people, is that you can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug.

that's a load of complete and utter crap. i can tell you from personal experience, both firsthand and otherwise, that pot IS addicting. i was addicted to it for 6 years, i currently know 4 people who are addicted to it and 1 of them is sitting on the bed 3 feet away from me this very moment being a moody little ***** because she hasn't smoked a bowl since lunch.
don't believe everything science and doctors tell you. do some historical investigation into the 40's and 50's back when scientist and doctors were telling everyone that cigarettes were healthy and good for everyone.

In my state, you have to show that you retreated as far back into your house / room as possible and have no where else to go....and that your life is in serious danger...THEN you can shoot him. Which is the stupidest law ever. At 3am in the pitch black, theres noway to tell if the other guy has a gun or not. And im not going to turn the lights on and ask him if he has a gun... I'd shoot first and ask questions later. Life and death is a split second decision at that moment..

I'm sure the tests that they have done are true that it is not physically addicting. I'm not saying it isn't mentally addicting. Obviously, if you do ANYTHING for long enough and then stop or lower the ammount then it will definitely turn around and make you feel worse. It also depends on personalities or traits. People have been smoking it for years now and they can go as long as they want without it.
Just because that situation went like that for one girl doesn't mean it's the same for the rest of us. I've been smoking pot and cigarettes for a couple of years now. I'm not going to lie I am pretty addicted to cigarettes, I can go a few days without it but then I feel crappy and want it again, but I can go as long as I want without some bud. I've even proved it to myself. Maybe you just have an addictive personality.
And I know you said you don't believe all that stuff blah blah but here's some statistics: Study Compares Nicotine to Other Drugs
Marijuana is rated last for dependence and withdrawal symptoms.
